CALENDAR Jan. 8 -Feb. 1 All students in grades K, second, and fifth will be test- ing to determine their eligi- bility for the High Ability program for the 2018 -2019 school year. Students in kindergarten will take the Kbit test and students in grades 2 and 5 will take the CogAT test. Students in grades 1, 3, and 4 may take the test if they have recently moved to the corporation or are rec- ommended by a teacher or parent. To recommend your child for testing, please re- quest a permission form at clovelessatpcsc.k12.in.us. Permission forms will be due on the first day of test- ing, Jan. 8. Any first, third or fourth grade students who are currently in the program will not need to take the test again at this time. If you have any questions, please contact Courtney Loveless. Jan. 25 – Girls A & B vs Jasper 10th Street at 10th Street, 6 p.m. Boys A & B at Jasper 10th Street at PES, 6 p.m. Jan. 29 - Feb. 2 Holly's house for fifth graders Emily Warner, JJ Bellmore and Caroline McDi- vitt finish their circuit. The High Ability program purchased some of the circuit set for the students to use. Above: The Science Bowl team is measuring the temperature change in water, sand and soil. They will find the amount of heat energy in each. The team is studying the transfer of heat ener- gy through conduction, convection,and radiation. Missing Yearbook Senior Photos The following seniors still need to submit a senior picture for the yearbook. All pictures should be submitted elec- tronically to avinnedge@pcsc.k12.in.us no later than Fri- day, February 2nd. If a senior picture is not available, stu- dents can make an appointment with Mrs. Vinnedge to have a photo taken for the yearbook at no cost to the student. Community Foundation Chromebooks Mrs. West's math classes are so excited about get- ting Chromebooks. She received a grant from the Community Foundation. Phil Clause was able to put together a charging cart and supplement the 18 pur- chased Chromebooks with eight more to provide her with a classroom set.
