Submitted Photo Memorial Hosp. announces 2017 LCM award recipient Marilyn Shelton, LPN has been named the 2017 recip- ient of the Little Company of Mary Award at Memori- al Hospital and Health Care Center. The LCM Award is given annually to an em- ployee nominated by his or her co-workers and chosen from a group of finalists by the hospital's Mission Com- mittee. Nominees for this award demonstrate Memo- rial Hospital's mission and core values through their daily work. Shelton works in the Post-Surgical Services unit at Memorial Hospital. In September 2017, she re- tired with 50 years of ser- vice as a Licensed Practi- cal Nurse and continues to work part-time. Shelton and her husband, Joseph, live in Ireland and attend St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Haysville. They have four children: Joy in North Car- olina, Jill in Carmel, Indi- ana, and Joe, Jr. and Jeff, of Jasper. They also have six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Kate was born on January 22, 1970 in Vincennes, the daughter of Warren and Jac- queline Ann ( Western) Fulk. Katie had worked as a Home Health Care Aid and was a 1988 graduate of Pike Central High School where her father Warren Fulk served as Principal, and was a student at Vincennes Uni- versity where her parents, al- so students, had met in 1955. Survivors include her partner, Patric Hudson, of Sullivan; sons, Jackson Hol- man, of Sullivan, Kitric Hud- son, of Linton; sister, Shell- ie Ann (Fulk) Kiedrows- ki and her husband Paul, of Ft. Worth, T X, brothers, John Bryan Fulk and his wife Gwen, of Boonville, Matthew Todd Fulk and his wife Er- ika, of Petersburg, and Ste- ven Thomas Fulk and his partner Reuben Craft, of In- dianapolis. Kate was preced- ed in death by her parents.
