At about 10 p.m. Friday, Steven McK- innon, 41, of Francisco, was stopped by Petersburg Police Cpl. Simmons said Deputy Sher- iff Buck Seger arrived with K-9 offi- cer Bleck, who indicated there was the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Cpl Simmons said during a search of the vehicle he found an ashtray that had been removed from the front of the vehicle and it had a marijuana blunt roach in it. He also found a plas- tic bag with a green leafy substance in it that field tested positive for mar- ijuana. McKinnon was taken into custody on a charge of marijuana possession and his passenger was released and told to find a ride home.
