B-2 Sports Wednesday, November 29, 2017 The Press-Dispatch Seniors Jacob Bohnert and Jacob Dudenhoeffer won two individual events each to lead the Pike Cen- tral High School boys' swim team to a 111-65 sea- son-opening win over vis- iting Tell City on Monday, Nov. 20. Bohnert placed first in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.59 and first in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 59.79 sec- onds, while Dudenhoeffer placed first in the 200 -yard individual medley with a time of 2:25.36 and in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 6:05.85. In addition, Bohnert teamed up with seniors Ty Cassitty and Jackson Keep- es and sophomore Jersey Mills to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.45, and with Cassitty, Mills and senior Lukas Hill to place first in the 200 -yard freestyle re- lay with a time of 1:39.81. Also placing first in indi- vidual events for the Char- gers were Lukas Hill in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 24.69 seconds; and Keepes in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.41. Placing second in indi- vidual events for the Char- gers were Cassitty in div- ing with a six-dive score of 174.50 points and in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 56.02 seconds; Keepes in the 200 -yard individual medley with a time of 2:26.36; Mills in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 24.78 seconds and in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.95; and senior Gavin Diggs in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:18.75. Placing third in individu- al events for the Chargers were Diggs in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.57; Lukas Hill in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 56.54 seconds; freshman Garrett Boyd in diving with a six-dive score of 97.90 points; soph- omore Brayden Cooper in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:22.32 and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.24; and soph- omore Coleman Henson in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 6:57.30 and in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:26.06. Placing fourth in individ- ual events for the Chargers were junior Colt Carpenter in the 100 -yard breaststoke with a time of 1:31.48; and sophomore A.J. Hill in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.14. Placing fifth in individu- al events for the Chargers was sophomore Sam Theis- ing in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 31.33 sec- onds and in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:15.45. In addition, the team of Diggs, Dudenhoeffer, Lu- kas Hill and Keepes placed second in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:59.73; the team of Car- penter, Cooper, Diggs and Dudenhoeffer placed third in the 200 -yard medley re- lay with a time of 2:06.04; the team of Boyd, Car- penter, A.J. Hill and The- ising placed fourth in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:17.84; and the team of Carpenter, Cooper, Henson and The- ising placed fourth in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:42.58. time of 2:25.93. Placing second in indi- vidual events for the La- dy Chargers were Bailey in the 100 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:03.49; Conder in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:25.81; and freshman Jenna Mey- er in diving with a six-dive score of 151.90 points. Placing third in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were senior Courtney Frederick in the 500 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 7:16.11; freshman Au- drey Keepes in the 50 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 31.84 seconds; se- nior Gretchen McCrary in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:32.72; and junior Hallee Stephens in diving with a six-dive score of 138.20 points. Placing fourth in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were freshman Char- lotte Dudenhoeffer in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:26.86 and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:24.41; and sopho- more Lily Frederick-Rice in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:41.78 and in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 7:19.25. Placing fifth in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were Conder in the 200 -yard individual med- ley with a season-best time of 2:55.02; Keepes in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:16.79; senior Emillee Halderman in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 7:58.71; and sopho- more Emma Russell in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:41.09. Placing sixth in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were Frederick in the 200 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 2:43.70 ; McCrary in the 200 -yard in- dividual medley with a time of 3:03.41; Russell in the 100 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:25.23; freshman Neeley Correll in the 50 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 38.03 seconds; and senior Miki Feldpausch in the 100 -yard backstroke with a personal record time of 1:33.35, best- ing her previous PR time of 1:33.62. In addition: • The team of Dudenhoef- fer, Frederick-Rice, Keepes and Meyer placed second in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:09.19. • The team of Duden- hoeffer, Frederick-Rice, McCrary and Meyer placed third in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:23.94. • The team of Correll, Keepes, Russell and fresh- man Libby Stone placed fourth in the 200 -yard med- ley relay with a time of 3:02.53. • The team of Freder- ick, Russell, Stephens and Stone placed fourth in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:26.90. • The team of Feldpaus- ch, Frederick, McCrary and Stephens placed fourth in the 400 -yard freestyle re- lay with a season-best time of 5:40.10. • The team of Correll, Feldpausch, Halderman and junior sophomore Jaci Potts placed fifth in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:40.81. • The team of Correll, Meyer, Potts and Stone placed fifth in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:00.57. Last year, in a head-to- head meet held at Heritage Hills, the Lady Patriots post- ed a 121-64 victory over Pike Central. The Lady Chargers will return to action on Wednes- day, Nov. 29, when they will host Evansville Central and Evansville Bosse in a girls only tri-meet, before travel- ing to Boonville on Thurs- day, Nov. 30, to take on the host Lady Pioneers and Gib- son Southern. On Saturday, Dec. 2, Pike Central will compete in the Kolin Clat- ter Memorial Relays at Te- cumseh.
