Bohnert placed first in the 100 -yard butterfly with a per- sonal record time of 57.97 sec- onds, besting his previous PR time of 59.55 seconds, and placed first in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.81. Lukas Hill, meanwhile, placed first in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.98. He also placed third in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.66. In addition, Bohnert and Lukas Hill teamed up with se- niors Gavin Diggs and Jack- son Keepes to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 1:50.67. Placing second in individ- ual events for the Chargers were senior Ty Cassitty in diving with a season-best six- dive score of 153.65 points; and sophomore Jersey Mills in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 54.63 seconds. Also placing third in indi- vidual events for the Char- gers were Diggs in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.21; Keepes in the 200 -yard individual medley with a time of 2:27.17; Mills in the 50 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 24.67 seconds; and senior Jacob Dudenhoeffer in the 500 -yard freestyle with a season-best time of 6:02.38. Placing fourth in individ- ual events for the Chargers were Cassitty in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 56.52 seconds; Dudenhoeffer in the 200 -yard individual med- ley with a time of 2:28.23; and freshman Garrett Boyd in diving with a season-best six-dive score of 83.70 points. Placing fifth in individu- al events for the Chargers were junior Colt Carpenter in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 30.34 seconds; sopho- more Coleman Henson in the 200 -yard freestyle with a per- sonal record time of 2:35.46, besting his previous PR time of 2:37.90, and in the 500 -yard freestyle with a personal re- cord time of 6:53.91, best- ing his previous PR time of 6:57.30 ; and sophomore Sam Theising in the 100 -yard back- stroke with a time of 1:28.01. Placing sixth in individual events for the Chargers were Boyd in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:33.03; Car- penter in the 100 -yard breast- stroke with a season-best time of 1:27.55; Diggs in the 200 -yard individual medley with a time of 2:35.87; The- ising in the 200 -yard free- style with a time of 2:36.79; and sophomore A.J. Hill in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 36.18 seconds and in the 100 -yard backstroke with a season-best time of 1:59.41. In addition: • The team of Bohnert, Cassitty, Lukas Hill and Mills placed second in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a sea- son-best time of 1:36.72. • The team of Diggs, Dudenhoeffer, Keepes and Mills placed second in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:59.53. • The team of Carpenter, Cassitty, Dudenhoeffer and Henson placed fourth in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:07.90. • The team of Boyd, Hen- son, A.J. Hill and Theising placed fourth in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:20.57. • The team of Boyd, Car- penter, A.J. Hill and Theising placed fifth in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a sea- son-best time of 2:14.97. Pike Central will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 30, when the Chargers will take on Boonville and Gib- son Southern in a three-team meet hosted by the Pioneers. On Saturday, Dec. 2, Pike Central will compete in the Kolin Clatter Memorial Re- lays at Tecumseh. The Chargers will subse- quently return home to host South Spencer and South- ridge on Thursday, Dec. 7. PCHS girls' swim team opens season with win over Tell City Seniors Quin Bailey and Brittany Young and junior Natalie Bohnert won two in- dividual events each as the Pike Central High School girls' swim team opened its season with a 129 -42 victo- ry over visiting Tell City on Monday, Nov. 20. Bailey placed first in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:27.50 and first in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.37; Young placed first the 50 -yard free- style with a time of 28.58 and first in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:19.74; and Bohnert placed first in the 200 -yard indi- vidual medley with a time of 2:22.51 and first in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.94. Bailey, Bohnert and Young also teamed up with senior Cass Conder to place first in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:10.05; they also teamed up with sophomore Lily Freder- ick-Rice to place first in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:26.60. Conder, meanwhile, placed first in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:26.02; and junior Hallee Stephens placed first in div- ing with a six-dive score of 187.45 points. In addition, Conder and Frederick-Rice teamed up with senior Shania Cremeans and freshman Charlotte Dudenhoeffer to place first in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:11.00. Placing second in individ- ual events for the Lady Char- gers were Frederick-Rice in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:23.23; se- nior Courtney Frederick in the 500 -yard freestyle with a time of 7:25.56; se- nior Gretchen McCrary in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:31.96; and freshman Jenna Meyer in diving with a six-dive score of 178.70. Placing third in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were Conder in the 200 -yard individual med- ley with a time of 2:56.35; Cremeans in the 100 -yard butterfly with a time of 1:35.84; Dudenhoeffer in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:44.84 and in the 100 -yard breaststroke with a time of 1:35.92; Freder- ick-Rice in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:20.25; senior Miki Feld- pausch in the 500 -yard free- style with a time of 9:19.62; and freshman Audrey Keep- es in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 33.37 sec- onds. Placing fourth in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were Cremeans in the 100 -yard backstroke with a time of 1:24.99; Frederick in the 200 -yard freestyle with a time of 2:49.21; and Mc- Crary in the 200 -yard indi- vidual medley with a time of 2:58.24. Placing fifth in individu- al events for the Lady Char- gers were freshman Nee- ley Correll in the 50 -yard freestyle with a time of 39.44 seconds; and sopho- more Emma Russell in the 100 -yard freestyle with a time of 1:29.88. In addition, the team of Cremeans, Dudenhoeffer, Frederick and Meyer placed second in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:29.32; the team of Correll, Keepes, Russell and fresh- man Libby Stone placed sec- ond in the 200 -yard free- style relay with a time of 2:29.53 and fourth in the 200 -yard medley relay with a time of 2:46.67; the team of Feldpausch, Meyer, Ste- phens and sophomore Ja- ci Potts placed third in the 200 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:33.98; the team of Feldpausch, Freder- ick, McCrary and Stephens placed third in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:40.24; and the team of Keepes, Meyer, Potts and Russell placed fourth in the 400 -yard freestyle relay with a time of 5:40.24. Alvey was awarded hon- orable mention accolades at running back after rushing for more than 1,000 yards and leading the Chargers in rushing attempts and rush- ing touchdowns. "He was an incredible ball carrier for us," Pike Central head coach Erik Mattingly said. Sisk, meanwhile, received honorable mention as an in- side linebacker. "Jake's a great program kid who works hard and loves Pike Central football," Mattingly said. "He's a great team leader." Boger received honorable mention as a punter. "He had three rushing touchdowns and three re- ceiving touchdowns plus a kickoff return for a touch- down," Mattingly said. "He also handled our punting duties and averaged over 30 yards a punt, and was the corner we put on the other team's best receiver." Named to the All-Confer- ence Team on offense were Wyatt Kramer of Southridge at center; Matt Gentry of Southridge, Dylan Butts of North Posey, Lukas Heeke of Heritage Hills, and Ryan Sensmeier and Jess Robin- son, both of Gibson South- ern, as offensive linemen; Isaac Sellers of Gibson Southern as quarterback; Wes Obermeier of Gibson Southern and Sam Englert of Forest Park as offensive ends; Dylan Stefanich of Gibson Southern, Tucker Schank of Southridge and Alex Stewart of North Posey as running backs; and Car- son Leibering of Heritage Hills as kicker. Also receiving honorable mention on offense were Andrew Schuler of Forest Park as center; Zach Nur- renbern of Gibson South- ern and Nicholas Maddox of Heritage Hills as offensive linemen; Manning Webb of South Spencer as quarter- back; Grant Maxey of South- ridge, Nic Maurer of Gibson Southern and Nick Smith of Tell City as offensive ends; and Jeovany Dubon of South- ridge and Carter Martin of North Posey as kickers. Also receiving honor- able mention on defense were Jose Chavez and Kort- land Hartke, both of South- ridge, as down linemen; Cole Calvert of Southridge as inside linebacker; Aus- tin Pearison of North Posey, Logan Seger of Southridge and Braydon Voegerl of For- est Park as outside line- backers; and Jacob Master- son of Southridge as defen- sive back. Gibson Southern fin- ished first in the PAC, go- ing 7-0 while compiling a regular-season record of 9 - 0. Southridge was 6 -1 in the PAC and 7-2 overall. North Posey was 5 -2 in the PAC and 7-2 overall. Heritage Hills was 4-3 in the PAC and 5 -4 overall. South Spencer was 3-4 in the PAC and 3-6 overall. Forest Park was 1- 6 in the PAC and 3-6 over- all. Pike Central was 1-6 in the PAC and 2-7 overall. Tell City was 1-6 in the PAC and 2-7 overall.
