The Press-Dispatch Church Wednesday, September 27, 2017 C- 3 RAMBLINGS Continued from page 1 Continued in next column Continued in next column Continued on page 4 Continued from page 2 ne some of the items we put back on the shelves might have been in a new location but it shouldn't have been too hard to find the newly placed items. When we were done it was clean and neat. A fter hear- ing the number of families they serve each month it is very understandable why they might need a little ex- tra help at times. We were again fed a great lunch at Amber Manor this time and they let us eat a great meal prepared on the grill. Hot dogs and hamburgers are good any time. The tour bus returned later that afternoon and sure was good to have the wife home because I was starting to run out of food that she had prepared ahead for me and it was nice to have her home again. I did miss her a lot. But our grandson came down with a bug so our home- coming happiness became babysitting time with an ail- ing youngster. He is feeling better now thank God. I like to include some of our Sunday message for you each week. This week we found that even though Samuel had been so close to God, that he had lis- tened faithfully to Him. Each time he was told to do something, he did it with- out question so that when he died his duties will be carried out without inter- ruption because God will create a person to fill in for you. God's word and work will continue. Be blessed and be a blessing , Help others when you can and make God look good in your life. Compassion and Prayer Rejoicing in hope; pa- tient in tribulation; con- tinuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the neces- sity of saints; given to hos- pitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep (Romans 12:12-15, K JV ). These scriptures, to me, tell us that we should show compassion in all situations and pray for all that come into our path or heart. We need to show that God is our hope and salvation in even the hardest of times. So that they, too, will want that kind of peace and hope for a future that we have in our lives as Christians. God loves you. Show compassion, so that oth- ers can see Christ through you. We welcome you to all services. Come and wor- ship Jesus with us. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center. "May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer" (Psalm 19:14). I don't think much about the words that come out of my mouth on a second by second or minute by min- ute basis, but if I read this scripture correctly, I should. Each and every word I say should be pleasing to God. Every thought or medita- tion in my heart should be pleasing to God. Do I have a lot of work to do? I am bet- ter at this than in my young- er days, but I need to be much better than I am now. To hold each thought and each word captive—That is my goal.
