South Gibson Star-Times A-6 Tuesday, December 20, 2022 SCHOOL Owensville community School KICKAPOOS OF THE WEEK Haubstadt community School Mrs. Spindler nom- inated Isaac as mid- dle school student of the week. Isaac sets a great example for oth- ers in his class on how to stay on task and work hard. Isaac always has his work done in a time- ly manner, and it is al- ways top quality. Mrs. Spindler appreciates the time and effort he puts into his academics. Mrs. Garrison nomi- nated Dallas as student of the week. She is im- pressed by his thought- fulness toward others and by his work eth- ic in the classroom. He always gives everything he does his best effort. Dallas has a great atti- tude and is always pos- itive. Mrs. Halbig nominat- ed Wyatt as student of the week. Wyatt is very respectful and kind to all his classmates and teachers. He works hard and is always will- ing to help. Ms. Rusch nominated Ivy Newman as eighth grade student of the week. She pays atten- tion to detail and works hard on her art projects. She sets a good exam- ple in character for her peers. Way to go, Ivy! Mrs. Lara nominat- ed Taylon Deal as third grader student of the week. She works hard and wants to succeed. She is a very bright young lad and a plea- sure to have in class Keep up the good work! Mrs. Kuester nomi- nated Tenley Kessens as student of the week. She is a joy to have in class, loves to lend a helping hand, is a hard work- er and always tries her best. Tenley is indepen- dent and she is the first to complete the whole morning routine most mornings. Keep up the good work! It was a day full of Cindy-Lou Who hair for "The Whos of Whoville Day" at OCS. From left are Kailee Prater, Abigail White and Brooklyn Kitchene. Miss Henry's first grade class join Mrs. Lara and Mrs. Boop who are extra cheery for the Christmas season. Kindergarten friends Annabelle Koester and Callie Hull show of their Christmas spirit for Rudolph Day. A group of middle school students shop at the San- ta Shop. Thank you to the PTO for setting this up for all of our students. Fourth graders Jennica Kitchene and Avery Logs- don are all smiles after the Christmas Concert. Fourth graders perform a song during the Christ- mas Concert. The concert was led by Mr. Minnis. A group of thrid grade friends stop for a photo at the Christmas Concert.
