It is no sur- prise then that Satan, through false prophets, false religions and deceived minds is trying to convince the world that Je- sus was just another human being—unable to offer atone- ment for sins and unworthy of the praise that He deserves. But Satan and all of his de- mons can never change the historical and eternal na- ture of who Jesus Christ is. Through His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection from the dead and His glorification by the Holy Spirit who today draws all men and women to Him, no enlightened mind can deny that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Let us be forever thankful that God has given us ade- quate proof that our Savior is indeed divine, that He is Im- manuel—God with us— and our faith in Him is not in vain. That is why we can proclaim to all, Merry Christmas! root of all evil. Money does strange things to people. Ma- ny people will sell themselves for a few coins. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Je- sus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a nee- dle, than for a rich man to en- ter into the kingdom of God. Wealth becomes the idol. Henry Kissinger said, "Who controls money controls the world." Kissinger is implying wealth is power. Wealth is god. Many politicians enter elect- ed office having small bank accounts and leave office wealthy. Coincidence? They are beholden to their paymasters. There's an invis- ible hand controlling them. The real movers and shak- ers stay offstage behind the scenes. President Woodrow Wilson agrees. He said, "Since I en- tered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the big- gest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of some- thing. They know that there is a power somewhere so orga- nized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condem- nation of it." Who are these invisible peo- ple? Again, Kissinger gives us a clue to their identity. Follow the money. The WEF is gaining "divine powers" through the control of wealth. Revelation chapter 13 says, "He (the antichrist) caus- es all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their fore- heads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. The antichrist will con- trol the world's money. How? Digital currency is coming and with it follows economic and spiritual slav- ery. If you want to eat, have a job, even own something, you must take an idolatrous mark and worship the satanic beast. If you don't, death follows. This gives Kissinger's state- ment credibility. Jesus warned his disciples that darkness is coming. The good news is, "We are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness." Paul's prescription is to "pray without ceasing." A fter the Last Supper, Jesus took his disciples with him to the Mt. of Olives to pray. His in- structions to them apply to us, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." Temptation is coming. Don't be caught unprepared. 50 YEARS AGO Fort Branch Times Friday, Dec. 15, 1972 Annual Community Christ- mas Tree: For the 45th consec- utive year plans are in prog- ress for the annual Communi- ty Christmas Tree on Christ- mas Eve.
