Twigs win seventh grade boys Haubstadt tourney Fort Branch's seventh grade boys won the Haubstadt seventh grade tour- ney Saturday, beating host Haubstadt 40 -35 in the championship game. They were led by Luke Mallory's 16 points in the win. Nolan Fuhs had 10 points for the Twigs. Haubstadt's Rhys Sorgius had 11 and Tucker Deputy had 10 for the Elites in the championship game. Haubstadt beat Owensville 55 -17 in the first morning game. Sorgius had 14 in the game with Andrew Finnerty and Deputy both scoring nine. Austin Smith had seven for the Kickapoos. Fort Branch defeated North Posey in their first round game coming back from an 18 -9 deficeit at half time. The Twigs held North Posey scoreless in the third quarter and then scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to get the win. Fort Branch had a balanced attack with Luke Mallory, Nolan Fuhs and Eli- jah Warner all scoring seven points. North Posey was led by Murphy with 20 points. North Posey defeated Owensville in consolation game. Fort Branch's seventh grade boys basketball team won the Haubstadt tourney Saturday. They defeated North Posey 30-28 in the morning game.
