School Tuesday, November 1, 2022 South Gibson Star-Times B-4 Holy Cross Catholic School COMMUNITY SCHOOL LUNCH MENU Wednesday, Nov. 2: Barbecue Rib Sandwich, Baked Beans, Cheesy Potatoes, Carrot Sticks, Red Grapes and Milk Thursday: Nov. 3: Bosco Stick, Fresh Veggies, Fruit Cocktail, Teddy Grahams, Yogurt and Milk Friday, Nov. 4: Chicken Tenders, Potato Smiles, Cal Blend with cheese, orange Slices and Milk Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School St. James Catholic School Eva Jost, Lilly Sollman and Layla Kassen- brock, fifth grade students at St. James School, show the energy saving devices that were given to families to use from CenterPoint Energy. Af- ter studying about natural resources in science class, each student was given a kit full of ener- gy-saving items to use at their homes. St. James School fifth graders "Teamed up Against Drugs" during Red Ribbon Week. Students wore their favorite team jerseys to show their support in being drug free. St. James School fifth grade students Eden Adler and Marcus Scott show their wooden pumpkins that they created for Grandparents Day. After they were used for table decorations, students were able to use their creations for decorations at home. Holy Cross children visit the Fort Branch library. Miles giving firefighter a high five during a visit from the Fort Branch fire department. The kindergarten class gets to meet the local post- al worker. Katelin Couch's third grade class dressed in pajamas for Red Ribbon week. Sophia Brown, Olivia Brown, Max Schmitt, and Emma Reising gather in front of the third grade's fin- ished collaborative art project provided by our PTO. All third graders got to do a piece of the project and then helped put the photo together. Mrs. Krista Schmitt's class wore pajamas for PJ day to celebrate Red Ribbon Week as class members discussed how the choices they make are the key to their dreams. Third graders McKinley Catt, Annalise Spink, Charlie Nix, Hadley Wilzbacher, and Ty Allen are dis- play their pledges to be drug free to kick off Red Rib- bon Week.
