South Gibson Star-Times B-3 Tuesday, November 1, 2022 SCHOOL Haubstadt Community School Clark was named Star Student in Mrs. Faye Williamson's kindergar- ten class. Eighth grade students dressed in neon for Red Ribbon Week. Mrs. Faye Williamson's Kindergarten had country day for Red Ribbon Week. Seventh grade students dressed in extreme red for Red Ribbon Week. Mrs. Laura Hays' Kindergarten class dressed for Extreme Red Day for Red Ribbon Week. Mrs. Jennifer Baker's fifth grade girls decorated the board with a Be Thankful theme. Seventh grade students dressed up for Halloween. Sixth graders dressed up for Hal- loween Ghoul Gang and The Sander- son Sisters. Penelope celebrated being the Student of the Week in Mrs. Laura Hays' kindergarten class. Penelope's family brought in a yummy snack for the class. Pe- nelope's dad read her favorite book, "Itty-Bitty Kit- ty Corn". owensville Community School KICKAPOOS OF THE WEEK Eighth grade students participated in the Job Spark field trip. Students gained insight on future job opportunities. Jordan Willis, Reese Marvel and Adrian Rader work hard to collect and count cans for the Red Ribbon Week Canned Food Drive. Mr. Allen nominat- ed seventh grader Levi Howard as Student of the Week. Levi shows up every day prepared to work hard and give his best effort. He has a great positive attitude and is willing to help others as well. Mrs. Garrison nomi- nated Madilynn as Stu- dent of the Week. Madi- lynn is a very hard work- er. She always wants to go above and beyond in all her work. She is al- so a good friend who is always concerned about the feelings of oth- ers. She is very helpful in the classroom and makes the day bright- er for everyone she is around. She is a great example to all Kicka- poos. Mrs. Halbig nominat- ed Adrianna as Student of the Week. Adrianna is a great friend and an awesome student. She works hard and always tries her best. Mrs. Hal- big enjoys having her in class. Macie Kern sits with her teachers, Mrs. Parker, Ms. Kuhlen- schmidt, Mrs. Taulbee, Mrs. Whitten, Ms. Hudson and Ms. Hennig, in celebration of Dwarfism Awareness Month.
