MEAT LOAF Ruth Beam 11/2 lbs. hamburger ½ cup oatmeal 1 onion chopped 1 egg 3/4 cup catsup 1 tsp. salt ½ tsp. pepper 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard A little water if needed when mixing Mix all ingredients; put in 9x13 baking dish and spread a little catsup on top. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. CHICKEN PIE Mary W. Adams 1 whole chicken, stewed 1 can celery soup 1 ¼ cup chicken broth 3 hard-boiled eggs Batter: 1 cup self-rising flour 1 stick margarine 1 cup buttermilk Stew chicken and take from bones. Put chicken in casse- role and cover chicken with sliced eggs. Mix soup and chicken broth and pour over chicken. Mix 1 cup self-ris- ing flour, 1 stick margarine melted and 1 cup buttermilk. Pour this batter over chicken and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. BLUEBERRY DUMP CAKE Virginia Coon 2 pints blueberries ¾ cup sugar 1 box white cake mix 1 cup chopped nuts 1 stick butter or margarine melted Pack blueberries in an ob- long pan, about 7x12 inch casserole. Add sugar, then sprinkle dry cake mix over blueberries. Pour butter over. Sprinkle chopped nuts over. Place in 325-degree oven and bake 1 hour. BBQ SAUCE Bonnie Lou Cates 1 cup catsup 4 Tbs. brown sugar 3 shakes Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped 2 Tbsp. green pepper 1 Tbsp. mustard ¼ cup oil Simmer for 10 minutes. LIVER AND ONIONS Jim Scruggs 5 med. onions, sliced 3 Tbsp. fat 1 lb. thinly sliced beef liver ¾ cup water 2 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt ½ tsp. pepper Cook onions in 1 tablespoon hot fat until golden brown; remove. Cut away mem- branes and large tubes from liver. Dredge with flour, salt, and pepper, mixed. Fry in remaining 2 tablespoons hot fat until browned on both sides. Add onions and water; cover and simmer ½ hour or until liver is tender. Add more water, if necessary, to prevent sticking (Ed.
