David Coffey, Sr., age 74, of Caroleen, passed away Monday, August 31, 2022 . David was born Tuesday, November 18, 1947 in Rutherford County to the late Raymond Coffey and Grace Roberts Coffey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Junior Coffey, J.C. Coffey, Sheila Trotter, Peggy Philbeck and Lester Coffey. Survivors include his son, David Coffey, Jr. of Chesnee, SC; daughter, Elizabeth Travis (John) of Forest City; two sisters, Barbara Baldwin (Johnny) of Virginia Beach, VA and Diane Cole of Mooresboro; and five grandchildren. The funeral service was held September 7, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jack Crain officiating. Interment followed at the Caroleen- Avondale Cemetery. Born in Harnett County on October 27, 1937, she was a daughter of the late James Hise Buchanan and Nealer Watson McLean Buchanan Bartley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Warlick; two sons, Gerald Warlick and Richard Warlick; daughter-in-law, Delores Warlick; son-in-law, William Wilson; two brothers, John and James Buchanan; three sisters, Annie Fundakowski, Frances Wooten, and Mattie Lee Bush; and one grand- son. Survivors include three sons, Robert Lee Warlick, Jr., John Aaron Warlick and wife Deanna and James David Warlick and wife Cindy; one daughter, Elisabeth Marks; three sis- ters, Peggy Griffin, Nellie Griffin and Betty Boese; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. LOUENE LANE Louene "Lou" Lane, age 86, of Union Mills, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. Lou was born Saturday, March 28, 1936, in Rutherford County to the late Lewis Thomas and Meldora Mills Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth E. Thomas, George W. Thomas, William Vance Thomas and Clayton Thomas. Left to cherish fond memo- ries are her sons, Grayling J. Lane (Anna) and Randy Lee Lane (Sharon) all of Union Mills; brother, Charles Thomas of Forest City; sis- ters, Linda Bailey (Bobby) of Forest City, Martha Thomas Philbeck of Shelby, Mildred Campbell of New Bern, NC; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
