James was born Friday, August 2, 1957 in Rutherford County to Edna Bennett Bailey who resides in Chesnee, SC and to the late Robert Leander Bailey. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bailey. He was born in the Philippines to the late Luis Ompad and Sergia Apa' Dano Igot. He is also preceded in death by three of his sib- lings, Eufrocinia Igot, Orotillo Igot and Marcial Igot; and one granddaughter. BILLY DEAN LATHAM Billy "Butch" Dean Latham, age 80 of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 Born on February 24, 1942 in Cleveland County, NC, Butch was the son of the late William Mack Latham and Maggie Lee Black Latham. He was predeceased by his wife, Brenda Faye Rollins Latham; his sister, Ann Latham Pruett Cox; and his late sister-in-law, Evelyn Latham. Mr. Latham served our country in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elvira Bellomo Washburn, his brother Harry Eugene Washburn, Sr., wife Betty, as well as, his brother- in-law, Walter Giles. Mr. Washburn served our country in the U.S. Services during the Korean War, and he was honored with the Korean Service Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars, The United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, as well as, the National Defense Service Medal.
