COACH EYEWEAR FREDA VIVIAN WHITE Freda Vivian White, 89, of Oakland City, entered into rest on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Hamilton Pointe Assisted Liv- ing in Newburgh. She was born on Septem- ber 13, 1932, at home in Gib- son County, to the late Lucas Davis, Sr. and Ruby (Riggs) Davis. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She also loved tak- ing short vacation trips with her grandchildren. She at- tended Somerville Communi- ty Church. She married the love of her life, Donald White, on July 16, 1949, being married for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay ( John) Stolz; brother, Lucas (Re- gina) Davis Jr., of Florida; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and son, Larry Ray White. Services are 11 a.m. CST Friday, April 22, 2022, at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, in Oakland City, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiat- ing. Burial will be at Mt. Ol- ive Cemetery, in Mt. Olympus. "Pop" Butch- er, 93, of Russellville, passed away on April 15, 2022. Pop was born in a farm- house, near Augusta, January 14th, 1929. He went to Winslow High School and Indiana Central College (now Indianapolis University). He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1984 after 32 years of service. He worked as the bar manager at All Star Bowl for approx. 15 years af- ter that. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #300 in Waveland, Scottish Rite, Mu- rat Shrine Temple, and Saha- ra Grotto. He also belonged to the American Legion, Moose Lodge, and Eagles Lodge of Crawfordsville. He enjoyed camping and fishing at his place at Sugar Mill Lake and spending time with his family. He had a quick wit and kept the nurses smil- ing until the end. He is survived by daughters, Terri Kennedy and Kristi ( Jus- tin) Hromek; grandchildren, Jennifer (Cary) McGaughey, Nik Beller, Grant Beller, Jerod Hromek and Matt Hromek; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carla R. (Harper) Butcher; and daugh- ter S. LeAnn Beller. We would like to thank the Russellville community and the McGaughey family for adopting Pop and treating him like a member of the family. MCDERMOT T Johnathan Shawn McDer- mott, 45, of Evansville, en- tered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home in Evans- ville. He was born on December 8, 1976, to the late Rick and Jill S. (Rhoderick) McDermott, in Washington. He was a graduate of DuQuoin High School, DuQuoin, Ill. A fter gradua- tion, he attended Vincennes University and the University of Southern Indiana. He married the love of his life, Karen, on July 15, 2016. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed staying physical- ly fit. He enjoyed muscle cars and he loved animals. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Plump) McDermott; mother, Jill S. McDermott; and stepchildren Kaitlyn and Clayton Huff. He was preceded in death by his father, Rick McDer- mott. ROSEMARY BARTLEY Rosemary "Rosie" Bart- ley, 80, of Jasper, passed away peacefully at 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at her home surrounded by fam- ily. Rosie was born in Jasper, on December 4, 1941, to Her- bert and Clementine (Gogel) Seger. She married Gerald Bartley on January 14, 1960, in St. Jo- seph Catholic Church in Jas- per. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2018. She was a 1959 Jasper High School graduate. She worked alongside her husband in their family busi- ness, "Bartley and Company." She retired from Superior Ag in Huntingburg. She was a lov- ing wife and mother. She was a member of Pre- cious Blood Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Denise (Frank) Merkley, of St. Anthony and Debbie ( Jeff ) Hagemeyer, of Stendal; one son, Kenny (Mar- ian) Bartley, of St. Antho- ny; one brother, Mike (Ruth) Seger, of Paoli; 10 grandchil- dren; and 17 great-grandchil- dren. Preceding her in death, be- sides her husband, is one sis- ter; Margaret Fleck. A Mass of Christian Buri- al will be at 10 a.m. on Tues- day, April 19, 2022, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jas- per. A burial will follow at St. Ferdinand Cemetery, in Fer- dinand. MEMMER Darrin L. Memmer, 53, of Oakland City passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vin- cennes. He was born May 20, 1968, in Princeton, to Donnie and Elaine (Beasley) Memmer. He graduated with the Wood Memorial Class of 1987 and went on to earn his Bach- elors Degree in Accounting from Oakland City Universi- ty. He had been an accoun- tant in the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia area. He is survived by his broth- ers, Mark ( Julia) Memmer, of Buckskin, Wayne ( Julie) Memmer, of Oakland City and David (Alechia) Memmer, of Oakland City; sister, Lisa (Ste- phen) Fischer, of Evansville; five nephews; one niece; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna (Memmer) Young; and broth- er, Norman Memmer. There will be no services at this time. Cathy was born on Septem- ber 25, 1959, to the late, proud parents Marlon Dee and Cath- erine LaRae Mason, of Oak- land City. In 1977, she graduated from Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City. For the last 19 years she has shared a blend- ed family with her husband, best friend and soulmate, Rick Marshall. They have shared so many memorable moments in their life togeth- er, enjoying the little things in life like going for rides and exploring new restaurants. She worked in Real Estate for 36 years, founding Heart and Home Real Estate, in Prince- ton, in 1995. Blessed with the gift of faith, she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, in Oakland City, and Holy Rosary, in Evansville. She was also an avid animal lover, adopting every kitten she encountered and raising her fur babies: William, Chub- by, and Roxie. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Shannon) Schoo- nover, of Oakland City and Er- ic Schoonover, of Evansville; daughter, Jaimee (Michael) Light, of Miami, Fla.; sis- ter, Peggy (Mason) Cundiff; brother, Jim (Kama) Mason; step-children, Chris Marshall, of Gentryville, Derrick (Me- lissa) Marshall, of Evansville and Ericka Marshall, of Evans- ville; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
