POTTS Continued from page 1 COVID Continued from page 1 PRIMARY Continued from page 1 The Press-Dispatch Wednesday, Feburar y 2, 2022 A-5 "I think a lot of people are ignoring the masking on days six through 10. Individ- uals are still potentially con- tagious through day 10, so we really need people to ad- here to the correct and con- sistent masking component to prevent spread to others. If you cannot mask on days 6 -10, you should continue to self isolate at home away from others," said Gladish. 13-year-old girl, and they exchanged 99 files with each other. In another conversations, Potts is having an explicit conversation with a person claiming to be a six-year-old girl. Potts described sex acts he would like to have with the six-year-old. Pike County Deputy Pros- ecutor Sarah Christianson said Potts was taken into cus- tody without incident. "We don't feel bad for the sex predators that get caught and exposed. Child pornog- raphy doesn't have any pro- tections. "A lot of effort was put in by the Indiana State Police. They went to great lengths and made sure they had ev- erything they needed to move forward on this case," said Christianson. "We hope Facebook is get- ting everyone. We know the ones they catch. We don't know if they are catching ev- eryone. As far as we know, we got to Potts before he could get his hands on any children," she stated. Staying ahead of the storm Fire wood for heating was the name of the game for Brandon Schell, his son Zane and mother Judy Schell. The big tree across from Brandon's towing business had been felled in the spring, and is now providing fuel for the wood furnace that heats Schell Towing on SR 57 North. Their thoughts were to get split fire wood across the road, before the ice and snow hits starting Wednesday. They also are toying with the idea of having the 15-foot tall stump made into a huge bear by chain saw artist, Terry Strobel. James Capozzella photo Tennessee woman stopped going 90 mph on I-69 with marijuana in car By Sherri Sebella A female traveling 90 mph in a 70 mph zone was stopped on I-69 by Indiana State Po- lice John Davis over the weekend when he was pa- trolling the I-69 area of Pike County. Davis turned around and activated his emergency lights when he clocked the driver. The vehicle, belong- ing to Crystal Perez-Barron, stopped at the 44.5 -mile marker. Davis approached the pas- senger side of the vehicle and when the passenger lowered his window, he detected the odor of burnt marijuana com- ing from inside the vehicle, while talking to the driver. A fter asking both occu- pants for their driver's licens- es, Davis noticed a glass ma- son jar inside the backpack of the passenger, which con- tained a plant material. Additional police arrived on the scene and the passen- ger, Renato Zaboni Tarazona, was asked to step outside of the vehicle. When asked if he knew why he was being asked to step out, Tarazona stated he did not know. Police advised Tarazona they could smell marijuana coming from inside the ve- hicle and they were going to search it. Tarazona stated that it was only CBD and he had just purchased it at a gas station. With both occupants out of the vehicle, police searched it and found two glass mason jars with a plant material in- side of them, a prescription bottle (without a label) with a plant material inside and a green metal hand grinder. The plant materi- al field tested positive for marijuana. Perez- Barron was issued a citation for speeding and a summons was issued to appear in court on February 22 for Tarzona. The evidence was collected and both occupants were re- leased from the scene.
