CALL 812-354-8500 JACQUELINE ENGLEMAN Jacqueline (Stidham) En- gleman, 84, Mooresville, passed away January 8, 2022, at Franciscan Hospice House, after a lengthy illness. She was born August 7, 1937, in Pierceton, to the late Lawrence and Bessie (Taul- bee) Stidham. She married the love of her life Dr. Jack L. Engleman, DDS on January 30, 1958, and he preceded her in death on December 20, 2018. She graduated with honors from Parkview College School of Nursing in 1957. She was a registered nurse and worked in her husband's oral surgery practice for many years. She was a longtime mem- ber of the Southport Presby- terian Church in Indianapo- lis and also the First Presby- terian Church in Haines City, Fla., where she and her hus- band wintered for many years and where they ultimately re- tired. They also taught AWA- NAs there for several years. She enjoyed cooking, golf- ing, playing tennis, reading (especially historical pieces), as well as Bible study. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grand- children. Her memory will be cherished by a loving family and many friends. She is survived by her son, Dr. Eric ( Janet) Engleman; daughters, Dr. Erin (Dr. Mat- thew) Wittrig, Pastor Eden (Dr. David) Pfotenhauer and Elana Engleman; seven grand- children; and five great-grand- children. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was pre- ceded in death by her siblings, Lowell Stidham, Leah Kay Martin and Linda Carmichael. Private services will be held at a later date. MARTHA ANN PA XTON Martha Ann Paxton, 83, of Henderson, Ky., passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Redbanks of Henderson. She was born in Pike Coun- ty on March 20, 1938, to the late Peter and Shirley Cardi- nal. She was a proud RN and worked for Muhlenberg Com- munity Hospital. She received the 1984 Frist Humanitarian Award for Excellence in Nurs- ing and often said, "Nursing is a calling." She was a mem- ber of First United Method- ist Church in Henderson and loved UK basketball. She is survived by her chil- dren, Greg (Cindy) Dilley, of Lake Stevens, Wash., Deb- ra (Rob) Robertson, of Oca- la, Fla., and David (Deanne) Dilley, of Raleigh, N.C.; sev- en grandchildren, Ryan Wil- liams, Shena Sanders, Andrea Foster, Angela Jennings, Ad- am Dilley, Andrew Dilley and Dawson Dilley; and siblings, David Cardinal and Kather- ine Allison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paxton; and siblings, Orville Cardinal, Leon Cardinal, Joseph Cardi- nal, Bob Cardinal, Mildred Rumble, Vera Cornelius, Eliz- abeth Helm and Bill Cardinal. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Rev. Cindy Green officiating. Buri- al followed at Sunnyside Cem- etery in Beaver Dam, Ky. PHILLIP "KEITH" ROY Phillip "Keith" Roy, 80, of Petersburg, formerly of Spur- geon, passed away at the Am- ber Manor Care Center in Pe- tersburg on January 29, 2022. He was born on March 15, 1941, to Prentice Woodrow and Grace Evelyn (Harkness) Roy in Oakland City. He was formerly employed as a draftsman for John Deere of Dubuque, Iowa, AMF Toy Division, of Olney, Ill., and Babcock and Wilcox, of Mt. Vernon. He retired from Old Ben Coal Company after 25 years of service, before oper- ating his own company, Roy's Disposal, from 1992-2007. He was a member of the Spurgeon United Methodist Church for most of his life, where he was an active mem- ber in the United Methodist Men's Group. He enjoyed at- tending classic car shows, an- tique tractor shows and spend- ing time with his family, espe- cially his buddy, Cameron. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Juanita Mae (Barrett) Roy, whom he married on Jan- uary 27, 1962; one sister, Cyn- thia Kay (Grant) Feaster, of Ft. Branch; one daughter, Deena (Nick) Doerner, of Pe- tersburg, three sons, Kevin, of Spurgeon, Chad, of Winslow, and Jason (Rachel), of Hunt- ingburg; grandchildren: Me- gan ( Jeremy) Glenn, of Spring Branch, Texas, Jordan (Lind- sey) Roy, of Indianapolis, Ha- ley (Austin) Doersom, of Jas- per, Owen and Penelope Roy, of Huntingburg, and Chloe and Cameron Roy, of Winslow; and great-grandchildren, Lily- an and Brystol Glenn, and Parker Doersom. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grand- daughter, Lauren Roy. Services will be at noon EST on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Spurgeon United Methodist Church, with Pas- tor Josh Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Spur- geon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Fri- day at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Spurgeon United Methodist Church or to the Spurgeon Cemetery. LELAH RUTH COOK Lelah Ruth Cook, 78, of Pe- tersburg, passed away Janu- ary 25, 2022, at Golden Liv- ing Center in Petersburg. She was born February 4, 1943, to Lloyd and Cleta ( Win- stead) Haycraft in Pike Coun- ty. She is survived by her son, Jim Ray Cook; granddaughter, Tamica Woodall; great-grand- child, Elizabeth Woodall; sis- ter, Marilyn Bailey; and broth- ers, Doyle, Gregory, Patton and Vernon Haycraft, all of Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lindy Cook and parents. DOROTHY A. LEHMAN Dorothy Ann (McPheter) Lehman, 76, of Indianapolis, entered into rest on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Good Sa- maritan Home and Rehabilita- tive Center in Oakland City. She was born in Washing- ton on November 26, 1945, to the late Herman McPheter and Dorothy J (Allen) McPh- eter. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Kay McPheter, of Indianapolis; and brothers, John McPheter and Bobby McPheter. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Mock, Ja- son Lehman, Samantha Leh- man, Crystal Lehman and April Lehman: sisters, Lin- da Belk and Jane Carrington; and many extended family and friends. LELAND DALE RELLER Leland Dale Reller, 72, of Stendal, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at his residence. He was born June 23, 1949, in Huntingburg, to Paul and Juanita (Osburn) Reller. He married Dixie Lea Col- lins on August 31, 1968, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Stendal. He was a school teacher and taught English at Washington High School. He received his Master's Degree in Education and was awarded grants from the Eli Lilly Foundation to fur- ther his studies in England. Following his retirement from teaching, he took up work as a handyman, doing business as Reller Construc- tion and Painting. He was a member of St. Peter's Luther- an Church and the Lockhart Township Community Club. He loved to read, go for walks, and spend time with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Reller, of Stendal; two sons, Heath Allen ( Jessica) Reller, of Stendal, and Shane Douglas (Terran) Reller, of Huntingburg; two sisters, Mary (Phil) Pyle, of Hunt- ingburg, and Marcia (Dave) Burgdorf, of Stendal; two brothers, Kirk (Heidi) Rel- ler, of Huntingburg, and Lar- ry Reller, of Stendal; and six grandchildren, Coby, Nolan, Lucas, Conner, Sarah and Gabe. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. EST on Monday, January 31, 2022, at St. Peter's Luther- an Church in Stendal. Burial followed at the church ceme- tery.
