Sheriff Norman states: "Within a matter of a few days of this app going live, it has led to the safe return of two runaway juveniles and is currently provid- ing information on lar- ceny cases through the tips we are receiving. This app is a great community tool and hopefully we can continue to grow it and receive fruitful information in re- gards to illegal activity happening in our country. At the end of the day, our goal is to make Cleveland County a safer commu- nity". He was born April 29, 1965, in Lincoln County to Troy Walter Randolph and the late Vera Belk Randolph. Wayne enjoyed fishing, beach life, visiting the moun- tains, drag racing, and riding four wheelers. In addition to his moth- er, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Brock. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Cathy Randolph; father, Troy Walter Randolph; sons, Jacob Randolph of Lincolnton, Seth Randolph of Cherryville, and Gregory Kunkle (Samantha) of Virginia Beach; daugh- ter, Delilah Randolph Gillian (Daniel) of Lincolnton; sis- ters, Peggy Bare, and Teresa Day (Andy); brother-in-law, Daniel Brock; grandchildren, McCoy, and Tate. MARY JO LAMOUNTAIN SIDES Shelby: Mary Jo Lamountain Sides, 68, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Mission Hospital in Asheville. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Phillip and Kathleen Rosa Robertson Lamountain. Mary Jo was a compassionate and loving person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann Gilliam. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Vandyke of High Point and Jamie Crowell of Matthews; sister, Corina Patterson and husband Rodney of Shelby; brother, Rick Lamountain and wife Terry of Grover; and three grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Friday, June 12, 2020, in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Preceded in death by his parents, Marion Coyte Wilkinson and Erla Dean Hollifield Wilkinson both of Shelby. Eric is survived by his children Adam Wilkinson of Shelby and Courtney Wilkinson of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother Keith "Corky" Wilkinson and wife Kathy of Boiling Springs, North Carolina; nephews Clayton Wilkinson and wife Deborah Knupp Wilkinson of Boiling Springs and MSgt Zachary Wilkinson of the U.S. Air Force based in Sumter, South Carolina; and Great- nephew Easton Wilkinson and great-niece Harper Wilkinson. Many people will remem- ber Eric as the disc jockey at The Dock Night Club for- merly located on Hwy 226 in Shelby. Eric loved watching Carolina Panthers games as well as going to them with his children and loved watch- ing the Atlanta Braves and The Andy Griffith show. He also had three beloved dogs, Lira-Kai, Kylee and Kenzie. Eric truly enjoyed time with family and friends and will be greatly missed. Welch, 66, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 11, 2020 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, and was preceded in death by her father, Walter Lee Smith, mother-in-law, Patricia Welch and her grandson, Tristan Davis. Janice was a member of Cherokee Street Baptist Church. She retired from STI after 47 years of service in the textile industry. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Janice will be dearly missed by her family and loving friends. Mr. Milton Haynes, Jr., 82, of 410 Kildare Drive Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on October 7, 1937 to the late Milton Haynes, Sr. and Fannie Mae Moncree Haynes. Milton was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. As a hardworking individual, he was formerly employed with PPG Industries, Spectrum Industries and he worked in the autobody repair field for a number of years. His passion was working on cars and he also loved buying and selling cars and worked on deals even through his declining health. Milton also loved to cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Haynes and a great-granddaughter, Alazja Gabreille Weathers. He leaves to cherish fond memories to his wife, Effie Borders Haynes; a son, Michael Haynes (Pamela) of Shelby; a daughter, Angie Moore (Leon) of San Bernardino, CA; step- children, Ramona Mensah (David) of Beech Island, SC and Rita Rawlinson (Ralph) of Gastonia, NC; siblings, Essie Hardy of Shelby, Carl Haynes (Jeanette) of Winston-Salem, NC, Josephine Wilson (Jerry) of Kings Mountain, NC, Robert "Preacher" Haynes (Barbara) and Annie Bell Anderson both of Shelby; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
