OC Library serves as collection site for eyeglasses Oakland City - Columbia Town- ship Public Library is partnering with the Lions Club this month to serve as a collection site for used eyeglasses. Library director Julie Elmore says, "A lot of people are cleaning our drawers and closets, while resolving to be more organ- ized this year, and with it being 2020, we felt this was a perfect time to partner on helping those in need have access to vision products." If you have old eyeglasses to donate, bring them to the library during normal business hours. The Lions also accept old hearing aids and cell phones in their dona- tion boxes as well. All items will be turned over to the Oakland City Li- ons Club at the conclusion of the glasses drive.
