We have been able to adjust salary scales appropriately and provide a 4 percent raise to staff. I would like to continue the posi- tive work being accomplished. For the future, I would like to further build commu- nity relations, increase school safety and continue improvement to our facilities. I believe we have excellent teachers, staff and administrators and offer our community a high quality education. I look forward to serving Pike County and would appreciate your vote on Nov. 6. There were nine graduates, two spouses and one guest, Lin- da Curtis, in attendance. Assistant Highway Superintendent Josh Byrd said the county had been getting complaints from motorists about the road being hard to see at night and in the rain.
