Deer cause multiple accidents in county By Andy Heuring Yes it is a scary night to- night because it is Hallow- een. However, it is also a scary night because of the deer on area roads. Mon- day morning in Pike Coun- ty, there were three car- deer accidents in a 40 -min- ute period and another one on Tuesday. At 6:41 a.m., Brittany lee Wagner, 27, of Jasper, was driving on Highway 257, near CR 650 N., when she hit a deer with her Toyota 4-Runner. Then at 7:02 a.m., James Kilgore was driving on I-69, near mile marker 41, when he hit a deer. Twelve minutes later, Amanda John, 42, of rural Velpen, was driving on High- way 257 when a deer ran in front of the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. Another car-deer crash was reported on I-69 Tues- day morning to Pike Coun- ty dispatch, but details were unavailable.
