"Once they started to keep possession, we were forced to defend deep and it didn't allow us to attack with very many numbers," Western added. "We were able to create four or five re- ally good chances but just weren't able to capitalize." Junior goalie Noah Whann had 13 saves for Pike Central. "I can't say enough about Noah in goal," Western said. "He was communicating all game long and made big save after big save." "Having three of our four losses be by a 1-0 score is re- ally tough," Western added. "But I think with each game, we learn a little more about the team and what we need to fix to compete for a sec- tional." "Our passing was not quite to the level where it needed to be, but our effort was great all game," West- ern added. "We were able to create a lot of chances with our front six guys and the defense did a great job de- fending Northeast Dubois' counter attacks. This was a good win over a team we have not beaten in a while."
