The Press-Dispatch Local Wednesday, April 18, 2018 A- 5 Hello, my name is Brad Jenkins. I would like to be the next Sheriff of Pike County. I believe, having graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, with my 24 years of on-the-road experience as a deputy, and my 4 years as an officer for Petersburg, that I understand the problems that face our county. As your Sheriff, I will have an open-door policy so that the citizens of Pike County can come to me with their concerns and they will know their Sheriff hears and understands them and will do his best to help. I will be proactive with the ever-increasing problem Pike County has with drugs. I would like to see more interaction between local law enforcement and the youth of Pike County. I want them to know we are here to listen and to help them. As a father and grandfather, I am very concerned about the youth of Pike County and I will do my best to get the drug problem under control. I will make it my priority to make sure the deputies, dispatchers, and jailers get the training needed to do their job to the best of their ability. As officers, dispatchers and jailers of Pike County our job is to serve and protect without prejudice, bias, or favoritism. I want the citizens of Pike County to know that everyone will be treated equally during my term as sheriff. I am here to serve the people of Pike County and I will do the best I can for you.
