She spent the previous 16 years as director of investments for the New York State Insurance Fund. Her 20-plus years in the private sector included 15 years with mid-sized brokerage house Cowen & Co., as director of retail fi xed income. MONA NORIEGA, Chairman and Commissioner Entity: Chicago Commission on Human Relations (CCHR) Website: www. cityofchicago.org/ humanrelations Because of her role on the Chicago Commission on Human Relations, Mona Noriega is charged with enforcing the Chicago Human Rights Ordinance and the Chicago Fair Housing Ordinance. The CCHR investigates complaints and uses its enforcement powers to punish acts of discrimination. It also aids hate crime victims. She had previously been general counsel for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. She also worked at the Department of Children and Family Services as the chief administrative law judge and in several other roles in state government. ELI REYNOSO, Chief Technology Offi cer Entity: Chicago Park District Website: www. chicagopark district.com As chief technology officer of the Chicago Park District, Eli Reynoso is responsible for overseeing all technology aspects of the largest municipal park manager in the nation.
