Cindy Petty photo By Cindy Petty SG Star-Times Staff Writer cpetty@sgstartimes.com Floral designer, Ruby Wilker- son, opened her first floral/gift shop nine years ago in the basement of her own home. A year later, she ex- panded that shop to a downtown Fort Branch location. In 2014, she was thrilled when she moved to her current location at 7846 US. Hwy 41 S., Fort Branch. Ruby, with her four employees, Zella Frey, Christy Dawson, Sta- cey Williams and Julie Fleener, along with the vice-president of the shop, Ruby's granddaughter, Keelyn Wilkerson, you will find both fresh and silk custom-designed arrange- ments, wreaths, centerpieces, cem- etery saddles, etc. You can also find gift items such as: wind chimes, an- gels, scarves, custom-painted win- dows, personalized wood and much more. "We are very excited to have added custom shirts to our busi- ness. Our shirts can be customized for sports teams, school clubs and activities, family vacations, or just for everyday. They would also make great Christmas gifts! " Wilkerson explained. Ruby's also offers the very popu- lar Paint Parties. The wooden door hanger parties offer a number of de- signs from holiday to everyday door decorations. You do not have to be an artist to enjoy this fun activity. Ruby's staff will help you through- out the design and even provide the paint to be used for the project. The paint classes are great for birthday, bachelorette and group parties. For more information, call Ruby at 812- 753-3459. For all of your embroidery needs, Kathy Morgan, owner of TAG IT, has embroidered shirts, bags, cloth- ing, and much more at the shop. If you're looking for jewelry, Ray's Fine Jewelry, inside Ruby's store, of- fers beautiful rings, bracelets, bridal sets, earrings and watches in plati- num or 10 -14-or 28 -karat gold.
