Colton plans to attend Oakland City University and study theology to become a minister. During his years at PCHS, he has been involved with National Honor Society, FCA and has been heavily involved in all things musi- cal. He has also participated in golf throughout his high school career. OTWELL SCHOOL ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP Ivy Capehart, the daugh- ter of David and Leah Cape- hart, is the recipient of the Otwell School Alumni Schol- arship. Ivy intends to pursue an undergrad degree in history at Indiana State University. Some of her high school activities include Nation- al Honor Society, BPA, Stu- dent Government and FCA. She has also participated in Swing Choir and Spring Mu- sicals. PIKE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP Delia Krueger, daugh- ter of Frederick and Julia Krueger, is the recipient of the Pike Central High School Scholarship. Delia will be attending In- diana University. Her field of study will be political sci- ence. Delia has been involved in National Honor Society, Stu- dent Government and BPA. MARION AND MARTHA KLIPSCH SCHOLARSHIP Jalen Blocker, the daugh- ter of Andrea Blocker, of Pe- tersburg, and Scott Block- er, of Jasper, is the recipient of the Marion and Martha Klipsch Scholarship. Jalen intends to pursue a career in occupational ther- apy. She will attend Vin- cennes University. Jalen has participated in National Honor Society, Swing Choir, Student Gov- ernment, and Spanish Club. She has been a manager of the boys' basketball team for the past three years. WINSLOW HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Kane Osgatharp, the son of Maryella and Kenneth Os- gatharp, is the recipient of the Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholar- ship. Kane will attend Man- chester University. His field of study will be pre-pharma- cy. As a high school student, he has participated in Na- tional Honor Society and has also been involved with the math academic team. Kane has been on the football and baseball teams throughout his high school career. DR. AND MRS. WILLIAM WEATHERS-BETTY WYATT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Reid Craig, the recipient of the Weathers-Wyatt Me- morial Scholarship, is the son of Jon and Cassandra Craig, of Petersburg. Reid plans to attend Oak- land City University. He will pursue a degree in business administration with a goal of becoming a Sports Adminis- trator/Athletic Director. Reid has participated in National Honor Society, Key Club and Student Gov- ernment. He has also been involved in cross country, baseball and swimming, among other things during these last four years. WINSLOW EAGLES SCHOLARSHIP Colton O'Neal, son of Aron and Angela O'Neal, of Stendal, is the recipient of the Winslow Eagles Schol- arship. Colton will be attending Hanover College. His field of study will be pre-med with a goal of becoming a doctor. During his high school years, he was involved in National Honor Society, Student Government, foot- ball, wrestling and base- ball. Colton has also volun- teered with the local fire de- partment. PIKE OPTIMISTS/ LAWRELL HILGEMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Allison Moss, daughter of Tammy Moss, is the recip- ient of the Pike Optimists/ Lawrell Hilgeman Memori- al Scholarship. Allison plans to attend In- diana University, with her major being Tourism and Hospitality. During her high school career, Allison has partici- pated in BPA, National Hon- or Society and Student Gov- ernment. Throughout high school, she has been in- volved with Jazz Band, Pep Band, Concert Band and Marching Band. DESSIE MAE BRUCE GRIFFITH SCHOLARSHIP Sydney Brooks, daughter of Keri and David Barrett, of Winslow, and Jeff and Chris- tie Brooks, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Dessie Mae Bruce Griffith Schol- arship. Sydney will attend Oak- land City University, major- ing in biology. She looks for- ward to being a high school educator. During her time at PCHS, Sydney has been involved in Spanish Club, National Hon- or Society, Spanish Club and was a United Way Board member. She has partici- pated in soccer and softball throughout her high school career. VINSON FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP Marissa Harrison, daugh- ter of Cindy Harrison, of Pe- tersburg, and Mike Harri- son, is the recipient of the Vinson Family Scholarship. Marissa plans to attend Cincinnati Christian Uni- versity and major in nurs- ing. She plans to become a pediatric nurse and work as a missionary. During her high school career, Marissa participated in Student Government, Na- tional Honor Society, FCA, Key Club, cross country and track among other things. PETERSBURG HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1959 Jared McCord, the son of Walter and Donna McCord, of Velpen, is the recipient of the Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Scholarship. Jared will attend the Uni- versity of Southern Indiana and study engineering. He plans to become an engineer with an emphasis on chem- istry. He has participated in band, soccer, football and basketball, among other things. PIKE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP Madison Jones, daughter of Mike and Nikki Jones, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship. She will attend either Ball State University or the Uni- versity of Southern Indi- ana. She will study educa- tion with the goal of becom- ing an elementary teacher. Madison participated in National Honor Society, Student Government and Key Club during her high school career. DARWIN AND GRACE YOUNGS SCHOLARSHIP Kallie Davis, the daughter Kelly Davis, of Otwell, and the late Neil Davis, is the recipient of the Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship. Kallie plans to attend the University of Southern In- diana and looks forward to becoming an elementary teacher. During her high school years, she has participated in National Honor Society, Key Club, Spanish Club, Stu- dent Government, golf and tennis. FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Jonathan Kroeger, son of David and Renea Kroeger, of Petersburg, is the recipient of the Petersburg First Unit- ed Methodist Church Schol- arship. Jonathan plans to attend either Valparaiso University or DePauw University, and study piano performance and German. He has participated in Na- tional Honor Society, First Robotics, swing choir and marching band, among oth- er things. HARRELL AND LAVERN SHOULTZ SCHOLARSHIP Cole Leighty, son of Ja- son and Amber Leighty, of Otwell, is the recipient of the Harrell and LaVern Shoultz Scholarship. Cole will attend either Vincennes University or the University of Southern Indiana. He will study pre-pharma- cy and ultimately become a pharmacist. Cole participated in Na- tional Honor Society, Key Club, Student Government, SADD, soccer and track, among other things. PIKE CENTRAL ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP Michelle Lin, recipient of the Pike Central Alumni Scholarship, is the daughter of Ni YaLing and Si Yi Lin, of Petersburg. She plans to attend Indi- ana University and study Fashion Design and Busi- ness. Michelle has been in- volved in National Honor So- ciety, German Club, Robot- ics, swing choir and spring musicals, among other ac- tivities. MARY F. CURTIS SCHOLARSHIP Adriana Sheridan, recip- ient of the Mary F. Curtis Scholarship, is the daughter of Jack and Rebecca Sheri- dan, of Petersburg. She will be attending the University of Evansville, studying psychology and Spanish. Her goal is to be- come a marriage and fami- ly therapist. Adriana participated in National Honor Society, German Club, Yearbook, Key Club, pep band and concert band, among other things. KEMP FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP Abby Hess, recipient of the Kemp Family Schol- arship, is the daughter of John and Beth Hess, of Pe- tersburg. Abby will attend Murray State University. Her field of study is music educa- tion, with plans to become a secondary education mu- sic teacher. She has participated in National Honor Society, BPA, Student Government, German Club, pep band, marching band and concert band, among many other things.
