She has received awards for Mental Attitude and Most Valuable Player. Kaitlyn's favorite class is Biomedical Terms, and she is active in her church youth group. She is the daughter of Dean and Connie Foster, of Otwell. CHASE DAVIS has played Baseball at Pike Central for four years, and also participated in Football and Basketball. In football, Chase has twice been named All-State Honorable Mention and All-PAC and holds the school record for most tackles in a game, a season and a career. He has been named All-PAC three times in Baseball, and was a member of the Sectional championship basketball teams. Chase's favorite classes are Government and PE. He enjoys hunt- ing, fishing, boating and ping pong. He is the son of Todd and Jody Davis, of Petersburg. In addition, the team of Foster, senior Selena Car- penter, freshman Lily Fred- erick-Rice and junior Cailey Furman placed seventh in the 3,200 -meter relay with a time of 12:07.27; and the team of Deffendoll, senior Amy Chastain and sopho- mores Kenzie Dunn and Lil- lie Pancake placed eighth in the 400 -meter relay with a time of 58.58 seconds. Also: • Powers finished ninth in the 300 -meter hurdles with a time of 54.57 seconds, and 15th during preliminaries for the 100 -meter hurdles with a time of 19.11 seconds. • Jenkins finished 12th during preliminaries for shot put with a throw of 28 feet, 2 inches. • Sophomore Erin Craig finished 14th during the 300 -meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.05. • Chastain finished 15th during preliminaries for long jump with a leap of 11 feet, 10.25 inches, 15th during preliminaries for the 100 -meter dash with a time of 14.72 seconds, and 16th during preliminaries for the 200 -meter dash with a time of 33.09 seconds. • Sophomore Storm Weis- ling finished 15th during preliminaries for discus with a throw of 58 feet, 5 inches. • Dunn finished 16th during preliminaries for long jump with a leap of 11 feet, 6.5 inches. • Senior Marissa Har- rison finished 16th in the 400 -meter dash with a time of 1:20.24. • Freshman Lexie Neese finished 17th during pre- liminaries for the 200 -me- ter dash with a season-best time of 36.50 seconds. As a team, Pike Central scored 18 points. Heritage Hills was first with 137.5 points, followed by South- ridge (106.5 points), Gib- son Southern (104.5), For- est Park (79), Tell City (67), South Spencer (61), North Posey (31) and Tecumseh (19.5). "We competed as well or better in most events as we have all season," Lady Char- gers head coach Ryne Bies- terveld said. "PAC is a very difficult meet and we had several girls place in their respective events. Taylor Deffendoll finished fourth in high jump and stands to do well next week in the sec- tional. Alyssa Jenkins fin- ished fifth in discus. She is also hopeful to advance out of the sectional next week." Pike Central compet- ed in the sectional meet at Princeton on Tuesday, May 16. The top three finishers in each event automatical- ly advance to the regional meet, which will be held on Tuesday, May 23, at Evans- ville Central, starting at 6:30 p.m., Eastern time.
