ALDRIDGE Mark E. Aldridge, 55, of Winslow, passed away at 1:57 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at his home. He was born September 29, 1961, in Princeton, to Jack and Patricia (Serig) Aldridge. Mark worked as a heavy equipment operator for Peabody Coal Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, riding motorcy- cles and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his half-brother, Terry Braunecker. Mark is survived by his wife, Kelly (Henke) Al- dridge, of Winslow; four chil- dren, Matthew E. Aldridge, of Winslow, Mitchell W. Al- dridge, of Jasper, Jon Hoop- er, of Evansville, and Kaylyn Hooper, of Winslow; his sis- ter, Angie Kern, of Jasper; his brother, Scott Aldridge, of Ferdinand; his half-sister, Nicole Kammerer, of Somer- ville; and his half-brother, David Powers, of Winslow. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Hunting- burg, with burial following at Cup Creek Cemetery near Velpen. Pastor Terry Bea- dles officiated at the service. Visitation was at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2-8 p.m. on Friday. CHARLES ARNOLD Charles William "Bill" Ar- nold, 87, of East Peoria, Ill., passed away at 1:27 am on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Unity Point Health-Proctor in Peoria. He was born on March 25, 1930, in Petersburg, to Tra- vis Arnold and Elma (Mont- gomery) Arnold Gladish. He married Barbara E. Arm- strong on May 13, 1961, in Peoria. Bill was an insurance agent. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War and loved airplanes. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Surviving are his wife, Barbara, of East Peoria; and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Perry Arnold; and his sister, Faye Schellenberg. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visita- tion will be on Sunday, June 4, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at Ma- son Funeral Home German- town Hills Chapel. A grave- side burial service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017, in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, with mil- itary honors accorded. Online condolences at www.mason- funeralhomes.com. HELEN A. LANE Helen A. Lane, 88, of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017. She was born May 12, 1928, in Muncie, Ind. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Lane, in 1989. Helen and Bill were mar- ried Dec. 8, 1956, in Peters- burg. Helen retired from PRD Electronics in 1988. A fter retiring, she and Bill moved to Clarksville, Tenn., where Bill passed away six months later. Helen wanted to come back to Ft. Walton Beach, where she then went to work at Walmart for almost 19 years. Helen is survived by three children, Michael D. Lane, of Duluth, Minn., and Jef- frey W. Lane and Linda C. Guthrie, both of Ft. Wal- ton Beach; three grandchil- dren, John Larz Pearson, Stephanie Anne Lane and Cody Adam Guthrie; and six great-grandchildren, Alexandria Pearson, Vaida Pearson, John David Pear- son, and Cullen, Conner and Elaina Onyembi. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, with Alex Ru- dolph officiating. JAMES W. "JIM" RICE James W. "Jim" Rice, 63, passed away May 12, 2017, at his home. He was born December 4, 1953, in Charleston, W.V., to Clyde D. and Betty (Grin- stead) Rice. He attended school for several years in Boonville, and was a 1972 graduate of Petersburg High School. He had recently retired from Hoosier Energy's Merom plant as a control room op- erator. Jim was preceded in death by his father; a brother-in- law, Robin Robinson; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Betty L.
