She started her shop in the basement of her Fort Branch home. Beginning with silk floral designs and small gift items, she gradually expanded her business. Three years later, she was able to relocate to her current location on West Locust Street, Fort Branch. "I've been in the floral business for more than twenty years," Ruby explained, "I feel very blessed to be able to get up and come to my business each day. I hope that my love of floral designs shows in every design I've created in my shop." With her three employees – Shela Weiss, LeAnn Cooper, and Zella Frey – and, of course, her most important Vice President of the Shop, her granddaughter, Keelyn Wilkerson, you can fi nd both fresh and silk flowers that can be custom-designed into bouquets, wreaths, centerpieces, cemetery saddles, etc. There is also a wide variety of gift items, including jewelry, sunglasses, mugs, stuffed animals, balloons, and more. Custom orders are welcome. Ruby's will host an Open House on November 22 and 23 with refreshments, door prizes, and lots of specials throughout the store. She will be open from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. Friday, November 22 and from 9 a.m. To 3 p.m. On Saturday, November 23. You will fi nd plenty of Christmas wreaths, mesh trees, and gifts.
