Good Life It’ s A Good Life Senior's Lifestyle Publication SEPTEMBER, 2010 Senior's Lifestyle Publication SEPTEMBER, 2010 Parade Of Tables The Neal Senior Center (100 TR Harris Drive, Shelby) is planning a Parade of Tables Fundraising Event on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Individual tickets are on sale now. Viewing of Tables will be 5:00- 6:00 – Meal will be served at 6:00. Table sponsors are needed. Sponsors are responsibile for the following: PARADE OF TABLES RULES 1. Sell 8 tickets for your table at $20.00 each 2. Make a dessert – 1 cake or 2 pies. Have desserts at the Senior Center by noon on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. 3. Decorate your table anyway you want, you can use paper products, fine china, whatever theme you want. 4. After dinner, clear your table and you will be responsible for all your items. 5. Bring dishes to the Senior Center in a container marked with your name on it so that your waiter will know where to place dirty dishes to be taken home to be washed. Each person decorating their table will be responsible to clean their table. 6. Tickets can be sold to men and women. 7. Please write the name of ticket holder on back of ticket for door prize drawing. We will have somebody in the foyer taking up tickets. 8. Bring salt and pepper shakers and a little container to hold packets of creamer, sugar and splenda pack- ets if you have something to match your table setting. 9. Do favors for your guests. Do not spend a lot on this. Could be candy in a bag or container, etc. Can be hand-made. 10. An envelope will be on each table for tips. 100% of all tips will go toward the Senior Center Programs and Operations. There will be beach music, hamburgers and hotdogs as well as games, contests and a whole boatload of fun, come rain or shine! Bring your pet with you for the Pet Parade at 12:45 pm. Prizes will be given for the pet that can do the most tricks and the pet that looks the most like its owner. The pets will have their own pool to stay cool. The menu for the party is ham- burgers and hot dogs, with all the fixings, potato chips, baked beans and beverage for $5.00. Dessert can be bought at the Cleveland County Senior Games Bake Sale, which will happen simultaneously. (Funds raised help Cleveland County Senior Games purchase new equipment.) Come prepared to enjoy an FIRST MEDIA “Creating Business For People” ® FIRST MEDIA , INC INC afternoon of fun, fellowship, prizes and surprises. Don’t forget to bring your favorite lawn chair for sitting around the pool. You must sign up in advance to attend (including pets that will be entering the pet parade).
