The Town of Lake Lure wanted to ensure that all Raptors end the year knowing that they are loved and valued. The community worked together to support the 2023 Raptor Round-Up. This year, the Lake Lure Police Department, along with Santa Claus, dropped by to visit the students on Friday, December 8. Unfortunately, the Grinch also showed up for this event and tried to swipe a present out of the Police cruiser. Fortunately, the Lake Lure Police Offi cers were on top of things and the Grinch was quickly arrested. Santa gave all of the children candy canes and the Raptors loved every minute. All money collected in Rutherford County remains in Rutherford County and assists in buying Christmas gifts and helps with bills in homes of eligible residents. The bell ringers will be out ringing bells and collecting money through Christmas Eve.
