TOLER Estella A. Toler, 95, passed away at 1 a.m. October 23, 2022. She was born in Pike Coun- ty, on November 11, 1926, to Roy and Agnes (Onyett) Har- rison. She married the love of her life, John Grester Toler. She was owner/operator of Estella's Ceramic Shop for over 40 years. She wholeheart- edly loved her family and her church family. She was a mem- ber of Bible Baptist Church in Iva. Those left to mourn her passing include children, John A. (Betty) Toler, Judie Hawk and Teresa (Brian) Harder; grandchildren, John H. and Boyd Toler, Ty Hawk, Gretch- en Hawk-Nichols and Elijah Howard; 10 great-grandchil- dren; and one great-great- grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents Agnes and Roy Harrison; husband, John Grester Toler; brothers, Benja- min A., Noral and Horace Har- rison; sister, Ruby Fair; and great-granddaughter, Court- ney Toler. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home, in Petersburg. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery. Gayheart, 68, of Huntingburg, went home to be with the Lord at 5:50 p.m., on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 25, 1954, in Washington, to Gene and Norma (Fettic) Shandy. She worked for Toyota and attended Redemption Chris- tian Church in Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Norma Shandy; and one sister, Kim- berly Pierson. She is survived by her hus- band, Ron Gayheart, of Hunt- ingburg; four children, Da- na (Mark) Kramer, of Jas- per, Chris (Cary) Gayheart, of Louisville, Ky., Jaime (Co- rey) Booth, of Fort Branch, and Kacie (Kyle) Greenheck, of Tampa, Fla.; seven grand- kids; and three sisters, Terri Punturi, Karin Padgett, and Joni ( Jeff ) Clark. "TONY" ROWLAND Anthony Wayne "Tony" Rowland, 56, of Oakland City, entered rest on Oct. 20,2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospi- tal in Newburgh, surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born on June 12,1966, in Paragould, Ark., to Wayne and Wanda (Ben- son) Rowland. He had previously been the Assistant Maintenance Direc- tor at Oakland City University. He loved playing the guitar as he had a great interest in mu- sic. He also enjoyed the music of Pink Floyd, especially Com- fortably Numb. He was a man of faith and a member of the General Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jane (Perry) Row- land; daughter, Hannah Row- land; his parents, Wayne and Wanda Rowland; stepson, Clint (Cheryl) Simpson; broth- er, Kevin Rowland; a nephew; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Dakota Rowland. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. C.S.T. on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Blackfoot Cemetery, in Coe, with Pastor Michael Tooley officiating. Wilson, 90, of Mon- roe City, went to be with the Lord October 17, 2022. He was born at home in Monroe City, on October 13, 1932, to the late Herman E. and Opal L. Wilson. He graduated from Mon- roe City High School in 1950. He married the love of his life, Lutherla (Mutchmore) Wilson on June 3, 1952. He proudly served the United States Ar- my during the Korean War. He was an active member of Monroe City First Church of God and, served as the Trea- surer for 30 years, as well as, teaching Sunday School. He worked as a cattle and grain farmer for all his life and re- ceived the Knox County Out- standing Cattleman Award in 1985. He also served on the South Knox School Board from 1972-1976 and Citizen State Bank Board for many years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends to farm tours, including a trip to Switzerland, France, and Ger- many; and collecting antique Farmall Tractors. He was also proud of his family and loved spending time with them. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his chil- dren, Rhonda (Steve) Drei- man, Susie (Ed) Cardinal, Duane (Lisa) Wilson; grand- children, Lindsay (Ryan) Yo- der, Jason (Stesha) Foss- meyer, Ryan ( Jenny) Cardi- nal, Evan Fossmeyer, Aar- on (Tara) Cardinal, Michael (Keary) Wilson, Courtney (Nick) Rusch, Ellen (Chris- tian) Hutchinson, Jordan Car- dinal; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Don (Rhoda) Wilson, Bill Wilson, Shirley Perry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lou Wil- son; sisters-in-laws, Patty Wil- son and Nelta Spayd; broth- ers-in-laws, John Perry and John Spayd. A funeral service was at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Monroe City First Church of God. A graveside services was at 10 :30 a.m. on Monday, at Walnut Hill Ceme- tery, in Petersburg. DAVEY LEE ARENDELL Davey Lee Arendell, 92, of Oakland City, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Stanley, on February 16, 1930, to the late Edward "Thomas" Richard and Ellen Delores (Ahlman) Arendell. He was a 1947 graduate of Lynnville High School before joining the United States Air Force in 1948 and being hon- orably discharged in 1952. He was a Korean War Veteran. A fter his military service, he worked as a computer pro- grammer until he retired from Potter Brumfield/Siemens. He was a member of the Oak- land City Masonic Lodge #467, VFW Post #1147 in Princeton, American Legion Post #351 in Elberfeld, and the Eagles Ae- rie #4288 in Oakland City. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He enjoyed watch- ing sports, especially the Chi- cago Cubs 2016 World Series win and Indianapolis Colts Football. He was a card play- er and enjoyed the throws of playing high stakes poker, en- joyed watching the humming- birds, and even engaged in a daily "nip" of whiskey. He is survived by his chil- dren, Eddie (Dara) Aren- dell, Jane (Kenny) Scales and Scott (Shannon) Arendell; brother, Don (Shirley) Aren- dell; sister, Sue (Don) Bot- toms; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Delores Arendell; and his wife, Betty (Corn) Arendell. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Lamb-Basham Me- morial Chapel, in Oakland City, with Pastor Matt Malin officiating. HARDIN Dorothy L. Hardin, 95, of Petersburg, passed away Oc- tober 18, 2022, at Amber Man- or Care Center, in Petersburg. She was born May 10, 1927 to Albert and Zelpha (Ste- phen) McLaughlin, in Velpen. She graduated from Otwell High School and went on to work for and eventually retire from General Electric Com- pany. She is survived by her broth- er, James McLaughlin; sisters, Lillian Ruckriegle, Marie Gil- liland, and Ruth Ann Nelson; and several nieces and neph- ews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hardin; her parents; and her sister, Joyce Stilwell. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Octo- ber 22, 2022, at Harris Funer- al Home, in Petersburg, with Pastor Gary Arnold officiat- ing. Burial followed at Otwell Cemetery, in Otwell. ROBERT WADSWORTH Robert Wadsworth, 55, passed away at his Evansville residence in the early morn- ing hours of October 14, 2022. He was born in Washington, March 20, 1967, to Jack Ray- mond Wadsworth and Mary (Fredrick) James. On Febru- ary 16, 2011, he married Bren- da ( Young) Wadsworth, and she survives. His last employment was with TJ Maxx where he was a warehouse associate. A man of many interests, he loved fish- ing, NASCAR, motorcycles, and was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. A devoted family man, he was happiest when he was spending time with his grandchildren. Those who mourn his pass- ing include his wife, Brenda; children, Richard (Kasey) White, of Evansville, Brent England, of Missouri, Anna (Bobby) Russell, of Mt. Ver- non, Jacob (Brittany) Mand- abach, of Otwell, Daniel (Am- ber) Wadsworth, of Loogoo- tee, and Lacy (Samuel) Sub- lett, of Brownstown; he was blessed with twelve grand- children; nine sisters, Rhon- da (Kevin) Heisdorf, Tam- my O'Dell, Melissa (Mat- thew) Rhodes, Tricia (Don- nie) Kavanaugh, Laura (Kim) Jones-Madden, Christine Roark, Teresa (Aaron Fox) James, Sandy Roark; Tamara Bott; one brother, Jack Wad- sworth, Jr.; and his father, Danny James and stepmoth- er, Cheryl Wadsworth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Raymond Wadsworth and Mary James; two grandchildren; three niec- es; and one nephew. Freeland, age 88, entered into his heaven- ly home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Deaconess Gate- way Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish Jimmie's memories are his wife of 67 years, Catherine; his sons, Steve ( Janice) Freeland and James (Rebekah) Freeland; his brother, Wally; daughter- in-law, Carolyn. He was pre- ceded in death by his parents and son, Greg Freeland. Jimmie came to personal- ly know Jesus as his Lord and Savior during his time serving in the U.S. Air Force. While he was serving in the military, he would often have to travel ahead of time before Cather- ine and the kids could join him at the new base. Catherine takes comfort knowing again he has gone ahead of her, but that she will see him again in heaven. There are many things to say about Jimmie and the life he led. He was a Lieutenant Colonel, flew more than 1,000 hours, and enjoyed being able to see the world. Jimmie deep- ly loved his family and was pas- sionate about his faith. Jimmie leaves a legacy behind in his family's heart and memories. Services for Jimmie will take place 10 AM EST on Sat- urday, October 29, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 4 to 8 PM EST on Friday, October 28, at the funeral home.
