There were various vendors and information booths awaiting those attending the event. The Town of Forest City and some of the vendors had gifts for those visiting the festival. There were several games and activities to offer fun and educational experiences throughout the park. A variety of song and dance was provided on the Burnt Chimney Amphitheater stage at POPS during Saturday's DiverseCity event in Forest City. Performers were the Peruvian dance team Baila Peru, the Hispanic duo of Pico and Val, The Ol' 74 Jazz Band and the Ace Party Band. DiverseCity Event Held Article Provided By: Pat Nanney Rutherford Weekly Sudoku Rutherford Weekly Sudoku Answers The "Grits for a Cause" drawing to benefi t the Rutherford County Schools (RCS) Backpack program was held and the winners have been announced. Rob Turner, David Best, Janet Rollings, Marc Stowe, and Stephen Lloyd were winners and each received a canister of Lakeside Mills grits, signed by one of the performers at the Earl Scruggs Festival held recently at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Due to the generosity of Lakeside Mills in Spindale, the RCS Backpack received over $500 in donations to the program through the drawing and sale of grits, which were donated by the King family. "We are incredibly thankful for the heart this family has for our food- insecure children and their commitment to making a difference," said a Backpack Program spokesperson.
