Washburn Community Outreach Center (WCOC) volunteers all pitched in to clear out Summer inventory and introduce Fall and Winter clothing, decor, and housewares in the thrift store on September 16. Coats are now out on the racks along with more jeans, long sleeves, scarves, gloves and seasonal wares. The thrift store is open Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Starting October 13, the WCOC will switch to Fall and Winter hours, distributing food and operating the thrift store 9 am to 1 pm. Over 80 volunteer hours keep the organization fl owing each week between the thrift store and the food pantry. "The work is truly not possible without them," said Lindy Abrams, executive director.
