EDWARD JOSEPH KEIL Edward Joseph Keil, age 71 of Haubstadt, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, Au- gust 11, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Ed was born on May 15, 1951 in Evansville, IN to Wil- fred and Norma Keil. He graduated from Haub- stadt High School in 1969. He went on to work for Prai- rie Farms for 32 years. Some of his favorite hobbies were watching NASCAR at the Brass Ring, playing Euchre, and going with his family to Tri-State Speedway. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Wilfred and Nor- ma Keil, his siblings (twins) Billy Joe and Barbara Jean Keil, Anthony John Keil, Mar- lin Ray Keil, the mother of his children Charlotte "Suzie" Bowling, and brother-in-law Michael Memmer. Ed is sur vived by his chil- dren, Ashley (Albert) Madi- son of Evansville, IN, Lindsey Keil of Evansville, IN, and Stephanie Greentree of Evans- ville, IN; his sisters Anna Ma- rie Keil of Haubstadt, IN, Glo- ria (Stan) Nalley of Evansville, IN, Linda Memmer of Fort Branch, Marilyn Keil of Evans- ville, IN, Alice (James) Jessee of Tennyson, IN; his brothers, Michael (Mar y) Rust of Port- land, OR and Bernard (Karen) Keil of Haubstadt, IN, and his grandchildren, Jaheem and Jaxson Madison, Devehon and Calliah Brown and several nieces and nephews. He was born to the late John and Sophia (Strueh) Schuessler on April 16, 1933, in Evansville. Bob was a member of St. Lu- cas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch. He was a farmer his whole life and enjoyed fish- ing in his pond. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his lov- ing wife of 65 years, Georgia Ann Schuessler; daughter, Becky Schuessler; and siblings, Marcella Winstead, Arthur Schuessler, Evelyn Graper, and Mildred Miller. He is survived by his chil- dren, Brenda (Anthony) Kiesel and Beverly (Dan) Singleton both of Fort Branch; siblings, Wilma Reibold of Lynnville, Jim Schuessler of Quincy, IL, and Ed (Kay) Schuessler of Winslow; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schuessler of Princeton, KY; brother-in-law, Donald Grap- er of Princeton; grandchildren, Rob (Stacy) Singleton, Cindy (Todd) Petree, Aaron (Darla) Kiesel, and Lori (Jacob) Rein- hart; 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were Sun- day, Aug. 14, 2022, at 2 p.m. at St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, with Pastor John Heumann officiating with burial at St. Lucas Cemetery to follow. Visitation was Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, from 1 p.m. to service time at St. Lucas United Church of Christ. GEORGE FEASTER George Grant Feaster, 78, of Fort Branch, passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends on Aug. 8, 2022. He was born to the late George Ab- ner and Helen (Bynum) Feaster on May 23, 1944, in Vergennes, IL. Grant was a member of Verti- cal Church in Fort Branch and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in mechanical mainte- nance for Emge Meat Packing for 12 years and retired from Alcoa in 2005 after 28 years of service. He had many hobbies including fishing, golfing, bird- watching, and woodworking. He will be truly missed by all his fam- ily and friends. Besides his parents, he is pre- ceded in death by his siblings, Alice France, Janet Venable, and Shirley Mason. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Cindy Feaster; his children, Brad (Brooke) Feaster of Linton and Beth (Jon) Schmitt of Fort Branch,IN; sisters, Annie Pirkle and Kathy Feaster both of Oakland City ; 6 grandchildren, Grant (Tabor) Schmitt, Spencer (Mariah) Schmitt, Claire Schmitt, Jacob Feaster, Samuel Feaster, and Thomas Feaster; and five great grandchildren, Grace, Nora, Ruthie, Mirabella, and Houston Schmitt. In total, Sheep Dogs had 100 members from six chap- ters ser ve 10 days and work 800 hours for the flood-rid- dled areas. They cleared 65 properties, mucked out 32 structures, set up two distribution cen- ters, assisted 2,800 residents including 205 veterans, and distributed medical, cleaning, and hygiene supplies as well as food and water. "We were able to pass off the torch and they could help them even more," MacKay said. "They know their fellow man and fellow Americans volunteered to help them get back to normal. You can't help the disaster but you can help the people." VICTIMS Continued from page 1 Sheep Dog Impact Assistance Indiana Chapter and the Greater Cincinnati Chapters worked together on the first round of help to Kentuckians affected by disastrous floods. Chris MacKay and others from the Sheep Dog Impact Assistance group move river silt out of the homes of Kentuckians affected by flooding. The group drove five and a half hours to help victims of the disaster, return- ing Thursday after being relieved by another group of SDIA volunteers. Vance Lloyd, of Francisco, lent the Southern Indiana Chapter of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance two small zodi- ac boats to help in the Kentucky flooding.
