Klem is another freshman on the line. He is a ver y tal- ented and strong kid. He is extremely fast and tough to block," said Hart. "Reinhart and Heldt are two bigger bodies for us to use in- side," said Hart. "I think that our defensive line with the ends and tackles are the deepest we have been on the D-line, probably the best unit on our football team. I have been really impressed with those guys and what they have been able to do," said Hart. The linebacker positions will be filled by Luke Foster, D. J. Lewis, Beau Rose and Jack Rose. "Again there isn't a lot of experience here. Luke start- ed one game and played a lot of special teams with DJ last year. Luke filled in when we needed him. I like what they have done so far," said Hart. The defensive backfield will have Tristen Boyd, Gabe Br y- ant, Mason Scheller, Seth Par- sons, and Sean DeLong will play some downs as well. "I think they have done a good job so far. Defensive back in high school is one of the tougher positions to play. They have improved during the summer, but it is real- ly tough to play back there when you don't have much experience. They have done a great job of improving. We just have to keep that going as we go through the season," said Hart. Repeating last season's juggernaut string of blowouts is unrealistic for an inexperi- enced group that graduated 23 seniors, including the num- ber two passer of all time in Indiana. Gibson Southern's early season is packed with tough opponents. They start with 5A Terre Haute South on the road then play 5A regional cham- pion New Albany, PAC foe Washington and then host Kentucky 5A state champion South Warren. The conference schedule begins for real in the fifth week. The Titans will face Southridge, Heritage Hills, Mt. Vernon, Princeton and Boonville in consecutive weeks. Hart said he likes having the strong pre-conference start to their season. "It is re- ally going to help prepare us for the conference schedule and the playoffs. We talked about how we have to grow up and get used to preparing for Friday night. We better learn really fast or it will be a really tough season for us. "In week four we will know where were are. Playing these types of opponents will force us to get better. . . If you aren't doing those little things and getting the details right to win football games, you are going to find out real fast," said Hart. here's to another winning season!
