She is survived by her husband, Glenn Kale Jr. of the home, two daughters, Ann Stroupe and husband Scott of Kings Mountain, NC, and Lisa Vickers of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, , a brother, Lester D. Whisnant Jr. of California, and two sisters, Dorothy Chapman of Lincolnton, NC, and Pat Johnson of Lake Norman, NC. Born November 10, 1942 in Cleveland County, Mary was the daughter of the late Lester Dennis Whisnant and Mallie Mildred Strange Whisnant and was preceded in death by two brothers, R.J. Whisnant and Charles Whisnant, and a sister, Kathern Carpenter. A funeral service was held July 18, 2022 at Dover Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Bulo Price, Rev. Mike Frazier, and Chris Kale.
