A-8 Tuesday, May 3, 2022 South Gibson Star-Times Owensville Community School St. James Catholic School KICKAPOOS OF THE WEEK MENU Tuesday, May 3: Chicken on the beach, salsa with chips, refried beans, romaine salad, strawberries and milk. Wednesday, May 4: Popcorn chicken, mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, celery, hot roll, peaches and milk. Thursday, May 5: Ta- co burger, baked fries, romaine salad, carrot sticks, apple slices and milk. Friday, May 6: Stuffed crust cheese piz- za, corn, green beans, fruit cocktail and milk. Monday. May 9: NO SCHOOL. Tuesday, May 10: Nacho supreme, re- fried beans, romaine sal- ad, salsa, sidekicks and milk. Mrs. Whitten chose Brecken Hart as our Pre-K student of the week. Brecken has been working hard on his ac- ademic skills and is ready to tackle his kin- dergarten year. His brother recently start- ed school, and he has been an amazing help- er to him. Keep it up, Brecken! Mr. Gengelbach chose Tegan Burkett as our 4th grade student of the week. Tegan does a great job of complet- ing her tasks and proj- ects on time. She is al- ways working hard to make sure her work is done the right way. She does a great job of lis- tening in class and she never causes any prob- lems. Tegan has a bright future ahead of her. Keep up the great work, Tegan! Ms. Tichenor chose Ayana Rivera as our 6th grade student of the week. Ayana comes to class prepared and al- ways has a positive at- titude. Her hard work and determination will take her far in life! We are proud of you, Ayana! Raylin Stout, Liam Leek and Ethyn Walker play on the jungle gym at recess. First graders enjoy the nice weather and friends during recess. Crimzen Spears en- joys time on the swings on a nice spring day. Olivia Waites climbs up on the jungle gym for a picture. The rock wall is a pop- ular attraction on the OCS playground. Gan- non Byrns makes it to the top of the wall! St. James 5th-8th graders and Mrs. Bush have been putting much time and effort into perfecting their production of 'Pirates.' The 8th graders pause for a picture during play practice. Devin Bane, Carson Agee, Ryan Spink and Robert Hughes enjoy the show from the audience. Brylie Kern and Carson Neidig dress as pirates for their play.
