On Saturday, a main water line that burst about 7:30 p.m. and looked similar to a geyser before the line was shutdown to take pressure off of it. Elmore said crews worked until about 10:30 p.m. fixing the line and got water pressure back on. Then about 6:30 a.m. Saturday a line at the intersection of Highway 356 and Locust St. burst. The same crew was back out early. Elmore said it took until after 1 p.m. to get that line repaired. The water was back on that afternoon, but water pressure was not fully restored to normal until Monday night. A boil order imposed Saturday was lifted at noon Tuesday. It took a while to recover. Man arrested for OWI after found sleeping on I-69 By Sherri Sebella Central Dispatch received a call on Sunday, April 3, at 4:18 a.m. regarding a vehicle in the median of Interstate 69, near the 46 mile marker and an un- conscious male in the driver seat. When Police arrived at the scene, they observed a black Toyota Camry sitting in the grass median with the car still running and in gear, with a male driver who appeared to be asleep at the wheel. As Police approached the vehicle, they observed the male moving around, but still appeared to be sleeping. Po- lice knocked on the window of the vehicle and the male, lat- er identified as Trevor Wikle, 25, of Fort Branch, woke up and rolled his window down. Police unlocked and opened Wikle's driver door and asked him to step out of the vehicle. Wilke had a strong order of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person and his manu- al dexterity was poor and his balance was unstable, accord- ing to the probable cause af- fidavit. Police observed a half drank bottle of 100 proof Rumple Mints, in the passen- ger seat. Police asked Wikle where he was coming from or if he knew where he was and Wikle stated that he be- lieved he was on Highway 41, near Toyota. Police advised him that was not the case. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived on the scene to make sure Wikle as okay and did not have any medical needs that needed attention. A fter EMS checked on Wikle, they advised he was okay, just a little intoxicated. Police had Wikle run through a series of field so- briety tests, which he failed all of. Wikle was read the In- diana Implied Consent and he advised he understood and would take the chemical test. Wikle was placed in hand- cuffs and transported to Pike County Jail. Wikle gave a breath sam- ple of .129 BAC and Police ad- vised Wikle that he was going to be placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while in- toxicated.
