Mrs. Ashlyn Hoffman utilizes technology daily with the students and it is amazing how quick they catch on! Above and Below: Mrs. Elliott gave her fourth grade students a STEM challenge. The students worked in pairs and were given a small bag of LEGOS. Their challenge was to work together to construct a heart. The time limit was 20 minutes. The students were separat- ed in the classroom so that they could not see the other students as they were working. Two staff members were asked to select which heart they thought was the most creative and which heart was the most symmetrical. The heart chosen as most creative was the one constructed by Abel and Kellcyn. Autumn and Weston's heart was chosen as the most symmetrical.
