Mark Wade, Deacon FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH 1400 E. Main Street Petersburg 812-354-6775 Worship with us Sunday morning at 10 :30 a.m. There's an old song that says, "It's always darkest be- fore the dawn." Other met- aphors remind us that light shines brightest in the dark- ness of life. World circumstances, nat- ural disasters, pandemics, crime and chaos, cause us to be all but overcome by all that seems dark. But, in the midst of our own personal darkness, comes He who is light. John's gospel records concerning that light: John 1:4-5 "In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not over- come it." So even though we are sad- dened and concerned about the present darkness around us, Jesus brings light and hope. He is the light. You are invited to worship with us at Petersburg First Christian Church. We always focus on Jesus and the light He brings to our lives and to this world. A fter all, God created every one of us, and when we hate someone who is different from us, we are hating some- one whom God has made and who is valuable in His sight. Every human being is cre- ated in Gods image, and as though sin has blurred that image in all of us, every sin- gle one of us still bare the mark of our Creator.
