Perinatal Loss Support – Expectant par- ents who suddenly lose their child often ex- perience a wide range of emotions and grief. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center offers support to assist those who have ex- perienced the loss of a child (conception to one month of age) through the grieving pro- cess, and provide an atmosphere of confiden- tiality and comfort. Grief Support Series-The death of a loved one, a child leaving home, overwhelm- ing changes in one's personal life – each can cause profound grief and suffering. To offer reassurance and comfort, Memorial Hospi- tal and Health Care Center has developed a free support program called "Grief Support Series." In this program, participants will learn that grief is normal, examine the various emotions of grief, be encouraged to face the pain, and find ways to make a healthy emo- tional withdrawal from the loss. Conducting the sessions will be Theresa O'Bryan, Hos- pital Chaplain, and Tom Holsworth, a clinical psychologist who has served as a co-facilita- tor of this program since its inception in 1991. Schewe, M.D., FACRO was recently appointed to the ac- tive medical staff at Memori- al Hospital and Health Care Center. A radiation oncolo- gist treats cancer using radi- ation therapy. Dr. Schewe received his medical degree and graduated cum laude from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Mo. He complet- ed an internship and residen- cy in radiation oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin A ffiliated Hospitals, Inc. in Milwaukee, and was awarded a Fellowship by the American College of Radiation Oncolo- gy (FACRO). He is board cer- tified in radiation oncology by The American Board of Radiol- ogy. Dr. Schewe is a member of the American Radium Soci- ety, American Society of Clin- ical Oncology, American Soci- ety of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and American College of Radiation Oncology. Wyant, 84, of Mon- roe City, went to be the Lord September 29, 2021. He was born in the Wyant family log home to his parents, Elden and Dorothy A. (Panka- ke) Wyant, on December 20, 1936, in the Beech Hills, Mon- roe City. He was a graduate of 1954 class at Monroe City High School and was always proud to be called a Blue Jean. He worked in the building and remodeling field for sever- al years. He later joined Public Service Company, now known as Duke Energy. During his time there, he held sever- al supervisory and manage- ment positions. He left Public Service to become the gener- al manager of Vincennes Elec- tric Supply, where he worked for six years. He then rejoined Public Service Company, where he worked until his re- tirement in 1996, with nearly 30 years of employment. A fter his retirement, he continued to work part-time in consult- ing for 10 years. He, along with his wife, Mary Sue, spent nu- merous hours doing volunteer work at RSVP, Habitat for Hu- manity, Blue Jean Center, Gen- erations and through the Mon- roe City Church of God. They enjoyed traveling through- out the United States, both on their own, and with family and friends. He is survived by his two sons, Jim (Dana) Wyant, of Monroe City, Mark (Patricia) Wyant, of Zionsville; his step- daughter Sharon ( John Sand- ers) Ellis, of Vincennes; he was blessed with six grand- children, Rachel (Ryan) Hayden, Eric ( Jennifer) Wy- ant, Guy ( Jennifer) Wyant, Skylar Wyant, Kristen (Er- ik Batker) Wyant and Shawn Ellis; and seven great-grand- children, Noah Hayden, Al- li Hayden, Jeremiah Hayden, Kaylee Wyant, Layla Wyant, Elden Wyant and Reed Wyant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue, who he married on October 27, 1979; and his parents. A service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Niel- son officiating. Burial will im- mediately follow at Hamlin Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time on Fri- day at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memori- al contributions may be made to Monroe City Church of God Building Fund or the Alzhei- mer's Association. Good- win-Sievers Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Wyant. PHILLIP MICHAEL GLASSFORD Phillip Michael Glassford, 79, passed away October 3, 2021. He was born November 30, 1941, to Charles Glassford and Jean Rathfon. He graduated from Peters- burg High School 1959. He then married Chloetta Perry and they had two daughters. He worked in various positions over the years. He thrived on his military service the most, serving two tours of Viet Nam. He achieved rank of Captain and brought all his platoon back alive. He also liked work- ing for the coal industry in In- diana and out west. He lived out west for many years, enjoy- ing the scenery and weather. He was known for being out- spoken and had a good sense of humor. He leaves behind two daughters, Lisa Glassford, of Evansville, Dana ( Jim) Bur- ton, of Evansville; grand- children, Zachary (Melis- sa Khan) Burton and Miran- da Burton ( James) Vollman; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Chloetta Vollman; and brothers and sisters: Susie Vaal, of Indianapolis, Steve and Donna Glassford, of In- dianapolis, Rosemary (Char- lie) Glassford, of Maine, and Charlie and Joni Glassford, of Washington. Per his request, there will be no services. He will be bur- ied at Soldiers Cemetery in New Albany. ROGER ALLEN CR AIG Roger Allen Craig, 70, of Woodbine, Ga., passed away September 28, 2021, at his home. He was born to Roy and Bev- erly Craig, in Winslow, on Au- gust 26, 1951. He graduated from Winslow High School Class of 1969. Following graduation, he at- tended railroad training in At- lanta, Ga. He began his rail- road career in March of 1970 with Penn Central Railroad in Petersburg. He continued his railroad career in Indianap- olis, Philadelphia, Pa., and Pittsburgh, Pa., before his re- tirement in September 2011 from CSX in Jacksonville, Fla. During retirement, he vol- unteered at Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville and served as the president of the Auxiliary. He was a member of Universi- ty Blvd Nazarene Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and fishing. He loved going on mis- sion trips and serving others. He also loved Corvettes and was formerly a member of the Jacksonville Corvette Club, showing off his beloved Cor- vette. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Tonya Powell. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Myers Craig; daugh- ter, Heather ( Jeff ) Fitzwater, of Woodbine, Ga.; son, Matt (Shelli) Craig, of Jackson- ville, Fla.; and six grandchil- dren, Hope Fitzwater, Jenna Fitzwater, Payton Craig, Bry- ant Fitzwater, Dominic Craig and Maci Craig. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. KEPLINGER Nina L. Keplinger, 90, of Indianapolis, formerly of Vel- pen, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Rosegate Village Long Term Care Center in Indianapolis. She was born in Mari- on Township, Pike County, on June 12, 1931, to William "Edd" and Lillie ( Ward) Le- Mond. She married Danny A. Keplinger on November 23, 1956, in Indianapolis. He pre- ceded her in death on January 1, 2008. She retired as a reception- ist from Fairbanks Hospital in Indianapolis, and previous- ly worked for the Internal Rev- enue Service in Indianapolis.
