Flags flying at History Center The History Center's flags are once again flying. The dusk- to-dawn light, which illuminates the American and Indiana flags, was recently replaced by Si Ashley. Many hours went into updating the electrical outlet and wires that the light runs off of. One of the members, Jeannine Houchins, coordi- nated the project. A DAR member can purchase an American Flag through the national organization. It will then be raised onto the flag- pole in a ceremony and flown over the National DAR Head- quarters on one of the selected dates. This flag was flown over National DAR Headquarters in honor of her Patriot Sol- dier, Thomas Donnell, on Patriot's Day, April 19. After being flown over DAR Headquarters, it was then delivered to and donated by our DAR Chapter member.
