The team ended up taking second in their bracket. Submitted photo MS girls' cross country fifth at PAC By Matthew Haycraft The Pike Central Middle School cross country team competed in the PAC Champi- onship meet at Gibson South- ern on Saturday, October 2. The girls' placed fifth, with a top five average time of 13:37 and 103 points. Tell City won the championship with a top five average time of 12:46 and 41 points. Other teams that placed in the middle school girls' PAC Championships were: 2) For- est Park with a top five av- erage time of 13:06 and 65 points, 3) Gibson Southern with a top five average time of 13:35 and 101 points, 4) North Posey with a top five average time of 13:31 and 102 points, 6) Southridge with a top five average time of 13:55 and 129 points, 7) Tecumseh with a top five average time of 14:36 and 157 points, 8) South Spencer with a top five average time of 16:00 and 214 points. In the middle school girls' division race, the Pike Cen- tral placers were: seventh grader Emiley Riker placing 15th with a time of 13:11, sev- enth grader Kylie Meyer plac- ing 17th with a time of 13:19, eighth grader Kylee Weath- ers placing 23rd with a time of 13:47.1, seventh grader Jes- sa Ridao placing 24th with a time of 13:47.5, seventh grad- er Ava Miller placing 30th with a time of 14:03, sixth grader Eva Cox placing 36th with a time of 14:17 and sixth grader Alivia Weitkamp plac- ing 52nd with a time of 16:03. The middle school boys' cross country team did not place in the PAC Champi- onships due to not having enough runners. Tell City won with a top five average time of 11:48 and 33 points. Other teams that placed in the middle school boys' PAC Championships were: 2) North Posey with a top five average time of 12:30 and 65 points, 3) Forest Park with a top five average time of 12:36 and 80 points, 4) Southridge with a top five average time of 12:50 and 97 points, 5) Her- itage Hills with a top five av- erage time of 13:33 and 118 points, 6) Tecumseh with a top five average time of 13:45 and 120 points. During the middle school boys' division race, the Char- ger placers were: seventh grader Aaron Gadberry plac- ing 34th with a time of 13:26, sixth grader Zane DeCoursey placing 38th with a time of 13:44 and sixth grader Josh- ua Smith placing 43rd with a time of 15:30.
