The nearly three-decades-old festival was cancelled last year due to COVID, but local officials have it back on the calendar. It is set for Saturday, September 18. It is just in the planning stages, but so far it looks like it will include the all-day flea market on Main St., food booths and vendors, games for kids and live music, as well as karaoke. The event will culminate with the traditional light-up Winslow parade after dark. Debra Lamb, with the Winslow Lions and Beautification Committee, said they are planning other events, but haven't finalized those plans yet. The Gibson County Chamber of Com- merce is bringing back the Family Feud by popular demand, and adding a fitness focus with yoga, and a 5K, not to mention, the popular rock wall. Preliminarily, bounce house inflatables open at noon Friday, Sept. 17, and will continue until 9 p.m.; the welcoming cere- mony and National Anthem is set for 5:30 p.m., and Blackstone and Randy Scales are planned from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, the event will host yoga with Stacy Milhauser, a new addition to the program.
