The Chargers drew North Posey off sides on the extra point kick, putting the Charger of- fense back on the field for the short field two-point conver- sion. A wall of Chargers got quarterback Jagar Dent in- to the end zone and brought about a 14-8 ball game with 4:34 minutes to go in the first quarter. The biggest play of the night for either team was an 82-yard kickoff return by Ju- lian Gish with four minutes remaining in the fourth. That score and the two-point con- version put the final at 58 -16 in favor of the home-standing Vikings. North Posey had scored first from the Pike Central 28 after taking over on a fumble on fourth and one near mid- field. Four plays later, the Vi- kings scored from the two for a 7-0 lead at the 8:13 mark in the first stanza. They then blocked a Charger fourth and eight punt from the Pike Central 25 and Jaxon Wiggins took a Harold Bender aerial in from the 12 on the second play from scrimmage to make it 14-0 with six minutes left in the first quarter. The Charger first quarter score was quick- ly negated when Lucas Bass scored on a 17-yard play just 30 seconds later. Frasure re- turned the kick 15 yards to the Pike Central 32, but four plays later on fourth and two, Dent was sacked for a six-yard loss. North Posey's second play from the 34 found pay- dirt, with Dylan Teeter doing the honors. Frasure returned that punt 11 yards to the PC 23 and went into the second quarter with a first and 10 on the 38 after an 18 -yard recep- tion by Lars Utterback. Pike Central stalled out on fourth and 12, and a Dent punt was taken to the 50, how- ever, the North Posey pass- ing game fell incomplete and Frasure put the stop for no gain on a third and 11. The Viking punt was a high snap with a flag that negated Char- ger field position, leaving the Chargers with a first and ten on their own three-yard line. A fourth and five came up with Frasure and Dent pick- ing up the six yards before the punt, which was blocked and recovered on the one. Dal- ton Reidford took it in for the 34-8 score. Frasure returned the kickoff 22 yards to the 32 and Arri McDonald, Julian Gish and Frasure combined for a first and ten and 11 yards gain, but the Chargers were forced to punt at fourth and 11 on their own 43. The punt by Dent got the Vikings to start on their own 32 and when the Charger defense stiff- ened, they put a foot in one of two punts on the night. In the third quarter, the Vikings ran the ball to a first and goal, but were stopped by the strong defense, and on fourth and 16, Cole McCullough split the uprights for three and a 37-8 North Posey advantage.
