So many trials come into our lives and along with the business of life. These things can easily choke out the Life of God in us. But praise God, "But seek ye first the King- dom of God, and His righteous- ness; and all these things will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). What things will be add- ed? In these unsettling times, it is sometimes difficult to find the joy in our lives. Whether it is a job situation, financial bur- dens, or family relationships, it seems like there is some- thing trying to steal our joy. But true joy is found in a rela- tionship with Jesus Christ. His constant taunts and threats had placed fear in the hearts of a God believing na- tion. Surely we are dealing with a Goliath right now. It has wore us all down. It has placed fear in our hearts. The news has fed those very fears. But we must raise up as that young boy David did and fight back in the name of our God. This virus has destroyed too many lives. It's time for spiritual warfare. He works in ways we can- not see, He will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side, with love and strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way. By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me and rivers in the desert will I see, heaven and earth will fade but His word will still remain and He will do something new today. Oh, God will make a way where there seems to be no way. This is a song that we sing each week in our praise and worship service. "God Will Make a Way" is one of the most well-known worship songs of all time, in- spiring millions around the world with its hopeful lyrics. But according to legendary Christian singer-songwrit- er and worship leader Don Moen, the song was born out of extreme tragedy. "I got a call from my mother-in-law late one night, and she told me that my wife's sister and her husband, Craig and Susan Phelps, had been involved in a tragic car accident while tak- ing their kids on a ski trip," he recounted to The Chris- tian Post. "All four of their chil- dren were thrown out of the vehicle, and the oldest, a nine year-old boy, was killed in- stantly. The other three were seriously injured." When you sing a song, you never know where the inspi- ration came from to write the song. If anyone has a need, you can call the pastor at 812-354- 3028. Roy Stilwell, Pastor Pam Lemond, Reporter
