Born in Cleveland County on September 8, 2005 he was the son of Jason Edward and Kimberly Walker Ledbetter of Shelby. Caleb is preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Leroy Walker and pater- nal grandmother, Helen Whitaker Ledbetter. In addition to his parents, Caleb is survived by brothers Benjamin Ledbetter, Jackson Ledbetter, and his twin broth- er, Brett Ledbetter all of the home; maternal grandmoth- er, Pat Walker of Lakeland Fl.; and paternal grandfather, Dan Ledbetter of Shelby. Funeral service was held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Kirby officiating, Burial followed in the church cemetery. MARY BLACK COOPER Mrs. Mary Black Cooper, 61, of Shelby, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Atrium Health – Cleveland in Shelby. She was born on August 5, 1959 in Cleveland County, NC to Dorothy Linda Black of Shelby and the late Willie Haynes. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Demetri Downs; her grandson, Montrell McMullens; her grandmoth- er, Hester Black and her mother-in-law, Dora Ann Cooper. She leaves cherished memories to her husband, John Ray Cooper; her moth- er, Dorothy Linda Black; her daughters Felicia Black, Lakisha Smith and Ronisha Black; her son, Gary Gene Downs, Jr; three step-chil- dren, Kizzy Cooper, John Cooper and Ashely Hester; six brothers, John Black, Ricky Black, Willie Haynes (Lettie), Willie "Winkie" Haynes (Danyell), Avery Haynes and Maurice Haynes and Danny Mosteller and wife, Leslie of Casar; a sis- ter, Sandy King and hus- band, Wayne of Belwood; three grandchildren, Justin Arrowood and wife, Brandy, David Arrowood and Tyler Arrowood; a step grand- daughter-in-law, Tiffani Rogers; four great-grandchil- dren, Lucas Arrowood, Kira Arrowood, Iris Arrowood and Olivia Arrowood; and a step great-grandson on the way, Dawson Rogers. Mr. Eaker Hue Campbell, Sr., 72, of Kingstown, NC departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Atrium Health- Cleveland in Shelby. He was born on November 12, 1947 in Lawndale, NC to the late Ozzie and Louise Farley Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Grant Campbell, Thomas "Gene" Campbell, Odus Campbell and Nathaniel Campbell and a sister, Geneva Jefferies. Left to cherish his memory are Helen T. Campbell, his wife of over 30 years; his chil- dren, Aretha "Bunnie" Hines (Bernard) of Shelby, Troy Campbell of Charlotte, NC, Eaker Campbell, Jr. of the home, Robbie Fuller, grand- son also of the home, Whitney Brooks, Jordan Brooks, Joyreka Brooks all of Shelby and Jonah Brooks (Maritza) of Kings Mountain; his broth- er, Matthew Campbell of Lawndale, NC; his sisters, Elnora Hunt and Aileen Toms of Kingstown, NC; and a host of grandchildren and great- grandchildren. ETHAN SKYLAR ARROWOOD Ethan Skylar Arrowood, 27, of Grover, NC, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2020 in Blacksburg, SC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, and was pre- ceded in death by his grand- mother, Cathey Arrowood. MISTY RENEE GREENE PRUITT Misty Renee Greene Pruitt, age 38, of Leslie Drive, passed away peace- fully Monday, September 21, 2020 at Wendover Hospice House. She was born August 8, 1982 in Lincoln County to Ronnie Greene and Helen Ann Swink Mingus. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bobby and Flossie Greene; maternal grandparents, Doris Hughes and Bill Swink. She is survived by her hus- band Robert Pruitt, mother, Helen Swink Mingus; father and stepmother, Ronnie and Marie Greene; daughters, Hannah Price and Allison Wray; sister, Alisa Swink; step-sisters, Keisha Clark and husband Gene, and Kendra Ham and husband Brad; step-brother, Scott Mingus; step-grandfather, Billy T. Hughes, Sr.; and three grandchildren. A celebration of Misty's life, officiated by Pastor Karen Poston, was held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services. RICHARD "HEART" COUCH Richard "Heart" Couch, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at his residence. Heart was born April 26, 1956 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Wallace "Tubby" Gene Couch and Charlene Fields Couch. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty-five years, Jean Couch; daughter, Kitty Michele Norris (Lance) of Kings Mountain; three grandchildren, Kathryn Norris, Samantha Jenkins and Brandon Jenkins; three brothers, Frankie, David and Chris Fields; and a sister, Hilda Pierce.
