He is survived by his lov- ing wife of 15 years, Sharon Robertson of the home, his children, Michael Rollins and Matthew Rollins, both of Shelby, NC, a mother-in- law, Mary Jeannette Harris of Shelby, NC, two sister- in-law's, Sheila Darlene Williamson of Shelby, NC, and Kimberly Dawn Harris of Shelby, NC, a brother-in-law, Timothy Lane Harris and wife Crystal of Shelby, NC, sev- eral nieces and nephews and his best friend, Huey Rierson and wife Lynn of Reidsville, NC. Ron was born on November 13, 1952 in Rockingham County, NC. He enjoyed working in the yard, watch- ing t.v., playing with his faith- ful companions (Bandit and Honey), and spending time with his family and friends. Ron also loved barbecuing on the fire pit. DANIEL FRANK SCHOOLCRAFT, JR. Mooresboro – Daniel Frank Schoolcraft, Jr. 77 died peace- fully at his home on March 13, 2020. He was born to the late Daniel Frank Schoolcraft, Sr. and Naomi Shaw Schoolcraft on December 12, 1942. Mr. Schoolcraft enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son T.J. Schoolcraft; two brothers Ray Schoolcraft and Richard Schoolcraft and one sister Ellen Ervine. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mildred Ann Ward Schoolcraft; he will also be missed by two sons Daniel Schoolcraft and John Schoolcraft; two daughters Tina Holley Linely and Tamara Schoolcraft Johnson; two brothers Harold Schoolcraft and Jimmy Schoolcraft and one sister Charolet Duncan and a special grandson John Aaron Schoolcraft who was like a son. Online condolences may be made at www.rsmorganfsl. com. CYNTHIA JETER MOSES Mrs. Cynthia Jeter Moses, 78, of Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Atrium Health-Mercy in Charlotte, NC. She was born in Lincoln County, NC on August 28, 1941 to the late Earl Jeter and Robbie Ashley Jeter. Cynthia grew up in the Flat Rock community in Shelby. She attended Cleveland School and was a lifelong member of Eskridge Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Her family, her church and her work in childcare were the three pillars of her life. She grew up as one of seven children born to Robbie and Earl Jeter. Later, she married John Moses in 1973 and then gave birth to a son, Ryan. Most of her time as a child- care worker was spent at Wesson's Day Care Center. First, she was a staff mem- ber for almost 20 years and later its owner for another 20 years after the original owner passed away. While owning the daycare, she also earned an Associate's degree in Child Development from Cleveland Community College. Even in retirement, children were central to her life as she volunteered almost every day until her health would not allow it. She was part of the Foster Grandparent Program at Jefferson Elementary School and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland County. For 50 years, Cynthia Moses touched the lives of thousands of children in Shelby, Cleveland County and beyond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robbie and Earl Jeter; husband, John Moses; brothers, William Jeter, Robert Earl Jeter and Larry Jeter and sisters, Patricia Cherry and Linda Sloan. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ryan Moses (Lea) of Charlotte, NC; one grand- son, Declan Moses; sister, Estine Pettis of Shelby; spe- cial family friend, Marilyn Aziz of Shelby and a host of niec- es, nephews and great and great-great nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Condolences can CAROLYN SPIVEY McWHIRTER Carolyn Spivey McWhirter, affectionately known as "Mimi" by those who loved her, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday March 19, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Carolyn was born in Swannanoa, North Carolina on December 1, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Adger and Mae Spivey. Carolyn had a passion for education and taught at Kings Mountain High School for over thirty years. She also taught Psychology at Cleveland Community College and was the Children's Choir director at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church for many years. Carolyn had a passion for life and loved doing things for others. She was known as being selfless, caring, compassionate, and had a thirst for life. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Harold and Terry Spivey, her sister, Frances Gentry, and her grandson Camden McWhirter. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl, her son Owen of Spartanburg, her son Alan and wife Lena of Shelby, her son Colin and wife Kay of Shelby, and daughter Laura Webb of Huntersville. She is also survived by two sisters, Phyllis and husband Ansel Hawkins of Asheville and Norma and husband Gene Page of Wilmington. Her sur- viving grandchildren include: Candice McWhirter and her children Matthew, Noah, and Jaxon, Erin Bryant, Kendyl McWhirter, Breanna Webb, Lacey Blake, Cole Mull, and Gracie McWhirter. Carolyn was fortunate to have three amazing caregiv- ers later in life whom she loved like family. They are Geraldine Dover, Mabel Pruitt, and Shirley Emory Due to the Coronavirus, a memorial service will be held for Carolyn at a later date. Born August 6, 1933 in Cleveland County, Ramona was the daughter of the late P.F. and Elizabeth Sweatmon Revels and was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Warren Kenneth Deal, a son-in-law, Billy Harris, and two brothers, Larry Revels and Rudy Revels. She had a strong faith in God, as she was a dedicated member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Ramona owned and operated Deal Printing Inc. with her husband Warren for more than 30 years. He was born in Cleveland County on March 15, 1936, and was a son of the late Melvin Cecero Tesseneer and Lela Dixon Tesseneer. He was retired from Overnite after 34 years of service as a truck driver. He was a mem- ber of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered as a man who could fix anything. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Joyce A Tesseneer; son, Rick Tesseneer; step- son Ricky Street; four broth- ers, John Tom Tesseneer, Max Tesseneer, Leonard Tesseneer, and Ben Tesseneer; and two sisters, Doshia McIntyre and Mary Howard. In 1988, she moved with her family to Cleveland County, NC. Linda attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She and Lawrence were mar- ried on May 11, 1973. During her years in South Carolina, she worked as a Department of Social Service (DSS) case worker and then a stay home mom. During her years in North Carolina, she was a stay home mom until her children were older and then worked as secretary in the Gardner-Webb University counseling office. She was fondly referred to by many stu- dents as "Mom Thompson". Linda is survived by her hus- band of 46 years, Lawrence I. Thompson, son Bryan and wife Caroline of Albuquerque, NM and their daughter Adelaine, and daughter Heather Van Galder and husband Kyle of Greer, SC and their sons, Elias and Ian.
