Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the events have been postponed until further notice. The NCSG officials are work- ing with the NC Senior Games districts who have also postponed their events with plans to reschedule them. Meantime, if you have registered for either the Senior Games and/or the SilverArts, your application is secure and you will be receive updates as decisions are made. Do use this time to your advantage by keep- ing active, both physically and mentally! The Neal Center's food pantry has been blessed by the outpouring of support from local churches, organiza- tions, and individuals during the Coronavirus crisis. Food donations have been con- stantly coming into the Neal Center for distribution to the senior population of Cleveland County. Participants in our "Meals-On-Wheels" program, as well as those with limited incomes or aren't able to shop for them- selves, have benefitted greatly from the generosity of others. We send out a great, big shout of "THANKS" to: • Washington Missionary Baptist Church • Flint Hill Baptist Church • The Civitan Club • Cornerstone Dental • Debra Denton • Beverly Quinn • Wayne & Linda Paul • Audrey Russo • Virginia Parker • anonymous donors Even when not facing a crisis such as this, our food pantry will continue to serve those in need throughout our area. If you or a group, such as a Sunday School Class or a committee, would like to donate to our food pantry, please reach out to the Neal Center. You may contact Heather Ledbetter, Nutrition Program Director, at 704/481- 7390 to arrange for your food donation. We're always happy to work with those who care about our senior citizens! The Neal Center has had a long-standing dedication to serving the senior citi- zens of Cleveland County. During this Coronavirus crisis, this dedication con- tinues to be strong. Though the center is closed to the public, our Meals-On- Wheels program, as well as our food pantry, are con- tinuing to provide food to those in need. At this time, items including soup, peanut but- ter, crackers, oatmeal, tuna and Vienna sausage are especially welcome for the nutritional needs of those we serve. If you would like to assist in donating, before bringing the items, please contact Heather Ledbetter, Neal Center Nutrition Program Coordinator, at 704/481-7390.
